Breakfast Nook II — Restaurant in South Kingstown

May 8, 2021. COVID UPDATE. Service good. Food average. But if you are COVID conscious don’t come. The hostess/person in charge let’s her mask hang down below her nose and mouth. She is in direct contact with food and the delightful servers. She also serves food with her mask down. No idea if she is vaccinated. Either way I am thankful only 2 people were in charge of my food. If not I would have left.

Gluten free buckwheat pancakes and tasty GF toast. Although their menu offers GF items, there is an addendum that states their items may become cross contaminated during the cooking process. As a Celiac, I lead with my Olfactory nerves instead of common sense, then went ahead to order the big breakfast, which turns out is too much food for 1 person. The 2 pancakes were the size of a dinner plates, looking fluffy and delectable. The eggs and bacon on their own plate as well were made to order, perfectly over medium, with delicious GF toast. It may have been canyon bread. Not sure. And yes I did eat the whole thing. I was happy to say I felt wonderful all day and so did my full belly. My husband ordered the Western omelet and was equally pleased. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is for 2 reasons: first- we had to wave down a waitress to serve us at the counter (we chose this versus a table to lessen the huge wait on a rainy day) and secondly the wait to get a cup or coffee and order. Small place that seems to be a local favorite. The poor wait staff were running ragged, but kept their smiles. Of course the kitchen forgot to cook a table's order and after an hour wait they stormed out. We had a lovely time and waited not long...

Original breakfast and lunch items. Updated from last visit, service sucked, serving staff rude, unprofessional and high school drama. Leaves coffee cream that needs to be refrigerator out on table, when u mention they take from ur table then place it on another table for someone else to use. Then come a slam the new container on the table. Totally 100% Rude. Being server is not hard, yet wonders why no tips. Hope u liked my tip Kassim Joseph from Breakfast Nook II,...

Love them local dinner delicious food I'm running to all local people that you know friendly staff really good prices and home cooked meals not getting any better than that plus if you don't know what's going on around town you will learn it there if there's new construction around the you not sure about what's going in there you'll find out or if someone sold some land and you don't know who bought it ask one of the old timers the same ones are...
