Bluebird Cafe — Restaurant in South Kingstown

Customer beware!!! I would like to start this off by saying, I called to order Takeout breakfast sandwiches. But after reading their menu I saw they had "homeade" corned beef hash. (A personal favorite of my husband's and mine) I placed the order for the sandwiches. Then I specifically asked if the hash was homeade or out of a can. No Diggs on anyone just not what we like. I was told that yes it was homade I said great an ordered it. Went in to pick it up an was met with a very pleasant waitress. I left went to my car an saw that the corned beef hash was in fact not "homeade" they had lied to me. The sheer disappointment I felt an the fact that they lied when I asked specifically. I was very upset so I went back inside. When I got to the counter another woman was there asked if she could help me. Seeing I was holding a container. I explained that I was very upset that when I called an asked about the hash I was told it was homeade. She said it is. At which point my waitress from before also walked up. I said this is from a can. The waitress said no its from a tube we get it from out of state. At which point the other woman looked not happy an proceeds to say they put carrots an scallions in it. (Apparently this makes it homeade)I was obviously upset at this point. I then asked for my money back. The waitress says ok to which the other woman says no. " As the owner I do not give refunds on food" I said as a customer I don't appreciate being lied to. An that I will be writing a review. She said go ahead. An I left get back to my car. Where I see my breakfast sandwich which cost 10.00 (ham egg an cheese on a bagel) was incredibly soggy an down right awful. I will not be...

Great fast paced, tasty foods Cafe. They had unique items from the standard as well as good old fashioned favorites. The service was extra quick with a coffee refill top up I never had to ask for. My wife got the chicken and waffle with the Cajun Hollandaise. I got the breakfast sandwich with 2 eggs on a flaky croissant. Mmmm Mmm! The fruit cup was Awesome! Cantaloupe, fresh strawberries, perfect bananas, and kiwi! Yummy! We took a ride from East Providence to try a new place and support local businesses. This place was a hit! We also went to the ARMY, NAVY, Surplus store in the same plaza (they have been there almost 30 years!) We love these hidden gems and will be...

First of all the food is great! The wait staff is absolutely awful. I met friends there today and the staff didn’t even bother to greet us. They were huddled together talking. When we finished we waited for the check and to wrap our leftovers the waitress never came back. Ever. I finally got up and asked for the bill. She wouldn’t give it to me and said it was in the computer “ they don’t put guest checks on the table”! I couldn’t even see it! Meanwhile my food was taken away.
