Caliente Mexican Grill — Restaurant in South Kingstown

I recently hired Caliente Mexican Grill to cater my son's high school graduation party. I was a little nervous at first, as I've only ever eaten at their restaurant before, and I wasn't sure how the food would translate to a large event. However, I was completely blown away by the quality of the food, service, and presentation.

The food was absolutely delicious. My guests raved about it, and I even had a few people tell me that they had never had Mexican food that good before. The portions were generous, and we had so much food that we could have easily fed another 10 people. The food was also fresh and tasted homemade.

The service was also top-notch. The catering crew that prepared the food was friendly and attentive, and they made sure that everything was perfect. They were also very interested in getting feedback on the food, which I thought was a nice touch.

Overall, I was incredibly impressed with Caliente Mexican Grill's catering services. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable catering option.

Waited in line for about 15 minutes (they were very busy dealing with lots of orders), was asked what I wanted, after saying burrito my man got the wrap ready and asked the next person in line what they wanted. They said rice bowl. He started preparing their bowl which forced me to step out of line a bit. The person following that person then ordered a burrito, then I was simply ignored as the guy started making his burrito with the one he was preparing for me in the first place. So I stood there in the middle of the line being ignored, and filled with anger I left since I had no more time to be standing around in a line I already waited in.

Not to mention, when they prepare a wrap for a burrito they are heating it up a bit. These guys all know exactly what they’re doing. How are you gonna ask someone what they want and when they say burrito you take the burrito which was already ordered and start preparing that for them instead of who ordered it first?? Shouldn’t you know that every time someone orders a burrito you’d be grabbing a fresh new wrap and not the one that’s already being prepared?

I was in line today ordering a wet burrito and this guy that took my order for the cold section was really stingy with the toppings. He was doing the tiniest pinches of everything, especially guacamole. The serving size of the guacamole was less than a plastic spoon. I asked if he could put more than that but he said it’ll be an extra charge. Very unprofessional and unethical. As I watched the people order after me he gave them normal portion sizes. Very upset, this restaurant gets worse and worse over time, first it was price inflation now it’s just being stingy with ingredients.

Response: I understand that, but I’m still a customer that comes here regularly, I’ve worked at chipotle before. It was the fact that even the first topping I asked for was a teaspoon worth of cheese, not even after the 2nd or 3rd thing I asked for, and there was little to know guacamole present.
