Providence Bagel — Restaurant in South Kingstown

Despite the delicious food, this place has unfortunately become an absolute no-go. First of all, the prices are exorbitant for what you get, and are always magically a few dollars higher than what you order. For instance, how does a specialty bagel priced at 8 dollars and a medium iced coffee priced at 4 dollars come to 16.50? Best case scenario is negligence, and that the prices have somehow risen 50% since they last decided to update their menu, which already was expensive to begin with.

The experiences with the service have always been positive besides with the manager. Multiple times she has interrupted the cashier who is taking my order and said they can't make something which I saw other people just get, or that they had every time the manager was not there. In addition, there has been multiple times where the manager has openly berated her employees right in front of me, even when I'm going to the counter to get my order. If it's uncomfortable for me, I can't imagine how the employee feels being yelled at over what seems to be very insignificant stuff. Lastly, this place needs a deep clean very badly.

A real shame, because the food is delicious. But not worth the $10 dollar bagels and the baffling ...

the food was great but I did not like the experience inside. I came here today 8/18/24 at 12 pm in the afternoon and the short girl that was making the bagels along side a guy was really rude to me. She kept giving me dirty looks rolling her eyes and making gestures and I feel like its because I was black. I felt racist energy from her and I don’t appreciate it at all. When she handed my boyfriend the food she said “enjoy” sarcastically and give me an evil stare and he noticed it also. I was not bothering anyone and simply came with my boyfriend to try the food. People need to stop the childish stuff and grow up we all are human and should be treated with respect. I felt uncomfortable and I am pissed off. She needs to stop the ignorance and change...

Feeling in need of a different breakfast other than my usual oatmeal I stopped into Providence Bagel. What we have here is not just bagels but bagels on steroids with delicious additions. I chose “The Friar” that has a perfect balance of chewiness and softness, like a cloud with a backbone. It's a huge bagel with the holy trinity of bacon, lettuce and tomato that adds a burst of flavor and a gospel written in sesame seeds.
