I'm not sure why this restaurant is so highly rated. In my opinion, the food is mediocre at best. The burgers are huge, but don't have much flavor. In our party, we tried the La Pina, Smokehouse, and the Blaze. I got the La Pina and it was literally the burger, bun, 2 pieces of pineapple and a piece of bacon, with WAY too much mayo. No flavor at all. My oldest who eats just about everything, only ate half of the smokehouse. My husband had the Blaze, which has jalapenos and pepper jack, but his had hardly any flavor either. All of our burgers had way too much mayo. The garlic fries were pretty much just fries with a couple of teaspoons of minced garlic thrown on top. We all thought the regular shoestring fries were good.
My younger son tried the Piggy with Cajun fries. His sandwich was actually pretty good. It's huge so it fell apart on him, but overall his meal was tasty. We also tried the fried pickles, which were yummy. But the dipping sauce was too thin and I actually wondered if it had been watered down. You could only dunk the pickle spears, no chance of actually scooping any dip onto the spear.
My daughter has many food allergies and they were very accommodating and friendly. The person who rung us up was graceful in answering all of our allergy related questions and went to ask the cooks if she didn't know.

Grilled, fresh and juicy burgers that are ahhhhmazing! The next time you are sightseeing around Lake Tahoe be sure to stop by Burger Lounge and relax on their patio front or back with one of their 2 handed burgers. You can't miss them with the Frosty Mug above their establishment as your driving by, heading towards Camp Richardson, Fallen Leaf Lake or Emerald Bay - stop by you know you've been meaning to so DO IT!!
On my visit, I had the Heavenly Burger and the name definitely spoke the truth it was HEAVENLY! with fresh avocado, cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, plus 1/2 pound handmade ground beef patty on a sesame seed bun. My hubby had the Smokehouse 1/2 pound handmade burger with bacon, cheddar, grilled onion goodness & BBQ sauce - OMTasty! We shared the perfectly crispy battered Onion Rings, I had a Frosty Vanilla Shake and my hubby had their very quenching Cucumber Mint Lemonade - this is a MUST to drink if you ask me & the hubby - REFRESHING!
The staff went out of their way for us and our dogs by wiping down the extra park benches out back and they even accommodated our dogs by supplying a dog bowl for water now that's GREAT service!! Plus they delivered our food out right to us and made sure we had everything we needed - Thanks for a GREAT experience for us and our furry kids too! July 2025 Gluten-free Bun available. I am very pleasantly surprised that the employees were knowledgeable concerning gluten and cross contamination. Always delicious, large & perfectly cooked burgers. The gluten-free bun was amazing, surprisingly large, very soft & not dry or crumbly like most.

July 2018 Very casual, laid-back & friendly burger joint. Huge burger selection with a variety of combinations. Extensive milkshake selection, too(if you can dream it up, they probably offer it). Indoor and outdoor seating available. The burgers were very large (2 people could split one), an order of fries, in a basket (ours had what I think is their house seasoning) large enough for 4 people to share. The burgers were perfectly cooked, medium/well as we requested & tasted homemade. Fries seasoning was great. Employees were friendly & outside eating area was nice & we'll kept. Great place.
