ASHLEY HAS THE WORST COSTUMER SERVICE . INSTEAD OF COMING FROM AN UNDERSTANDING PLACE & TRYING TO HELP WITH MY SITUATION SHE STARTS YELLING AT ME THROUGH THE PHONE. I BOOKED THROUGH BOOKINGS.COM GOT CONFIRMATION AND MANY EMAILS THAT MY ROOM WAS APPROVED. MIND YOU THIS IS A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE OUR TRIP. THEY TOOK THE MONEY RIGHT AWAY THEN TWO DAYS LATER I RECEIVED A TEXT MESSAGE SAYING MY ROOM IS NOT AVAILABLE BECAUSE IT WAS ALREADY BOOKED FOR ANOTHER PERSON. I CALLED IMMEDIATELY & THE GENTLEMAN WAS NICE & UNDERSTANDING HE SAID IT WAS BOOKINGS FAULT FOR OVER BOOKING. I DEALT WITH CALLING THE LODGE & BOOKINGS ALL DAY. BOOKINGS NEVER RECEIVED A CALL OR MESSAGE FROM THE WASHOE HOUSE ABOUT CANCELING MY STAY. ALTHOUGH THE WASHOE HOUSE SAID THEY WILL BE IN CONTACT WITH BOOKINGS. THE WASHOE HOUSE WANTED ME TO CANCEL BUT IF I DID I WOULD ONLY RECEIVE 25% OF MY MONEY BACK. SO WHEN I CALLED THE WASHOE HOUSE TO TRY & FIGURE OUT IF THEY HAVE CONTACTED BOOKINGS THEY DIDNT ANSWER I CALLED AGAIN & NO ANSWER SO I DECIDED TO CALL FROM A DIFFERENT NUMBER AND GUESS WHAT ASHLEY ANSWERED!! I PROCEEDED TO TELL HER WHO I WAS & VERY RUDELY SHE SAID OH YES I KNOW WHO YOU ARE & YOU’RE CALLING FROM A DIFFERENT NUMBER I SAID YES BECAUSE YOU GUYS ARE NOT ANSWERING MY CALL NOR ARE YOU CONTACTING BOOKINGS TO LET THEM KNOW YOU CAN NOT ACCOMMODATE ME. ASHLEY THEN PROCEEDED TO YELL AT ME CALLING ME RUDE & WAS BEING EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL. ALL BECAUSE I WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY THEY HAVEN'T CONTACTED BOOKINGS TO CANCEL MY RESERVATION THAT THEY MESSED UP ON. SHE NEEDS A REALITY CHECK BECAUSE THE WAY SHE YELLED AT ME WAS NOT RIGHT. SHE ALSO BLAMED BOOKING SAID SHE WASN'T GOING TO HELP ME THEN HUNG UP ON ME. ONCE I TALKED TO BOOKING LETTING THEM WHAT HAPPENED THEY SAID IT IS NOT BOOKINGS RESPONSIBILITY TO PUT OUT HOW MANY ROOMS ARE AVAILABLE THAT IS ALL ON THE OTHER PARTYS RESPONSIBILITY. SO THEY HAVE BEEN LYING ALL DAY NOT TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY BEING DISRESPECTFUL YELLING AT A PAYING CUSTOMER WHO IS JUST TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT!! I WILL NEVER BOOK WITH THIS PLACE AGAIN! ASHLEY YOU NEED MORE TRAINING IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO HANDLE SITUATIONS THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULD NOT BE WORKING WITH COSTUMER SERVICE!!!!!!! Read moreWhile browsing the Airbnb app I checked the price for 3 night stay and somehow it booked a reservation without warning and charged my card $239. I immediately reached out to the host to be ignored and spent many hours trying to get this resolved. I am my wife's caregiver as she fights for her life and I explained to them I wanted to get away with her Between her treatments for a few days but this was an accidental booking and I need a refund. Dave said I was getting upset over nothing and he Took my concern over this mater as being rude . They never gave me any hope in getting my money back. They just said they would ask the owner and get back to me later.
So long story short this property is managed by incompetent management owned by a thief You won't be able to get ahold of anyone on the phone if you have any issues at all after your reservation. I tried calling all afternoon and only once did someone named Janeane answer and she said she was happy to get me a $53 refund.
Eventually Airbnb refunded my total charge but the grief the owner out me through is why I felt they deserve this one star review. I never leave bad reviews but these...

The Good: I love the Washoe location. Next to excellent food that you can walk to. Pet friendly! Close to all the trails and lake side trails. Very fun cabin feel when you enter. Nice and clean when you enter. The pictures on their website are spot on for what to expect. Shower was good but it took a little time to warm up. Internet was good once it started to work. It took 3-5. minutes each time to really get up. The kitchen was good and stocked with the majority of what you need including a mini frig with freezer. We did have to buy paper towels. Clean linens throughout. The Bad: The bed was in big need of an upgrade. Sinks in the middle and A TON of foam topper. One on top of the other. The outlets are loose and the floors feel cheap and turned my wife's socks dirty. The towel rack in the bathroom is pretty bent.
