We had never been to Tahoe. Friends from Auburn treated us to a grand tour of the area. One of the best stops in two days was for brunch at the Keys Cafe. It is a little hard to find as it is off on a side street, but Google maps got us there. Although busy preparing drinks for her patrons, the owner (pictured) was gracious, patient, and accommodating. Substitutions and special requests were no big deal. We sat outside on a most pleasant "South Lake" morning - I understand they have their share of those there in mid-August. The Cafe's vibe is just what you would expect inside and out, the decor - the same. So what about the food? We had BLTs (on marbled rye), a Breakfast Sando, and (drumroll, please) the Blueberry Bowl. Since it is not practical to travel 2,100 miles for this delicacy on a daily basis, I asked for the recipe and that, too, was shared with a smile. What a fantastic place in a fantastic place!!!

This was the best I say ball we could find in Tahoe! We were up in Tahoe for spring break and looking for a little healthy food option for our breakfast. We stopped into Keys Café and the also able were huge. I mean literally these are really big. You’ll read the other reviews that they are big also but they are big. The staff of super friendly and it was easy to order. The location a little far back off the road so I just kind of be ready for that. They have a great parking lot. There’s plenty of seating for you to eat inside. It’s a really great location. I hope you’ll try it

Food: 4.7 Service: 5.1 Vibe: 5 Overall amazing experience! I came for the breakfast burrito but I was too late🥹 (they sold 40 by 11 am so come before then) Not to worry because Sid was behind the counter helping me with my decision. She guided me through my order, gave suggestions for my meal, and even helped pair my food to my drink 🅰️+ Things to Know: -seating inside or outside -they have games on a shelf next to the counter you can play -they offer pupp-uccino’s for your pets *Shout out to the entire staff because I saw them all helping and interacting with customers.

So I always love hole in the wall and the mama papas because the eggs are cracked fresh, the food just tastes great. But this was very disappointing. I don't know how they got such high rates. The workers were very nice but the food, wow. First , the coffee was borderline cold, gave it back, reheated and still cold. The eggs, wow, they come out of a box and it's microwaved. If I wanted that, I would go to McDonald's. I asked about the eggs because I wanted over medium and they said oh sorry, they can't do over medium. So my question is why didn't you say so when you were collecting the money and when I ordered. You took the order and said over medium. Then you give some microwaved boxed scrambled thing. The potatoes where microwaved. Do you know microwave does to potatoes in little pieces !!! Just don't understand why they lied when I ordered so we could go...

Came for some coffee and was not even greeted by the rude baristas working. No one asked us if we were ready to order while we looked at the menu. We didn’t see the register as it was on the other side so started telling a girl what we want and with attitude, she told us to come where she was. Coffees were pretty solid. Maybe a bit on the sweeter side. A bit syrup heavy. The menu has amazing choices and I would still come back for the coffee but don’t appreciate the side eye from the girls and heard them talking about us. When we asked for straws, they were thrown towards us. It’s like us asking ruined their day or something. I refuse to go back...
