Tahoe Bagel Company — Restaurant in South Lake Tahoe

Ehhh. Me and my friend were pretty disappointed with our experience here. Both of us love a good bagel, and to be fair the bagels (and drinks) were pretty tasty, and that saves it from 1 star...

Okay, so it cost over $30 for two breakfast sandwiches, two mochas and a 15% tip, not the end of the world, but kinda pricey for what we actually got. 😒

Then it took a long time for them to make our order, we waited about 15-20 minutes before the order was finally ready, with other customers getting their orders ahead of us.

When we did get our order, despite them having gotten the order right on the ticket, they somehow managed to get both our orders completely wrong; literally the only thing they got right on each of them was the kind of bagel we ordered. 😂

Deciding we didn’t really want to deal with taking them back inside we settled to just eat the sandos they made us. Despite them not being at all what we ordered they were adequately tasty. And the mocha I got was pretty good too.

Also, a handful of staff were wearing only gator style face coverings while working with food, and at least one employee was mask-less while chatting with their buddy,...

We spent a girls' night there to celebrate a big birthday celebration. We figured bagels and coffee by the lake would be a great start to our day. We knew nothing about this place and got there at a great time. We only had 3 customers in front of us but the restaurantwas packed. So we didn't quite understand the need for the written sign on the door to continue the line outdoors. We figured they must get busy in the morning hours. Well, it didn't take long for the line to develop outside. They have a full staff working hard behind the counter and great selection of bagels. The service was good. The iced coffees were tasty. The garlic bagels were a bit too much on the coverage and it was a bit challenging to eat. My daughter tried the nondairy cream cheese on her blue berry bagel and unfortunately it tasted gross. She didn't like it at all and threw it away. Since it took almost a half hour just to get our bagels it's not like we could just order another. Next time we know what not to get. Overall, it was pretty good. We may return next time...

I'm a local part-time resident here in the South Lake Tahoe area and have always appreciated Tahoe Bagel. My last two visits have been very disappointing. I've been very clear on my order and the first time I ordered a week ago I had ordered for a lux bagel on a plain bagel and I ended up getting someone else's order. It was too late to take it back we had already gone home. Today I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel, I requested that it be toasted with regular cream cheese and I ended up with a cinnamon raisin bagel with a different smear so again I guess if I do make a third trip back there which I'm very reluctant to do I'm going to have to unwrap my bagel before I leave to ensure that it's the order that I placed.

I have what they had written on the receipt and what they had written on the bag was exactly what I had ordered but it isn't what was I came home with.

Again as I say I'm reluctant now to try and go back and it was at peak time but that still doesn't excuse the fact that the order was...
