West Coast Sourdough - Lake Tahoe — Restaurant in South Lake Tahoe

We had a pretty good meal from here. The sourdough bread was very fresh, not TOO chewy, very tasty. The veggie sandwich had sliced avocado, which was nice. But I would like to have more options to add to the sandwich (olives, pickles). It was nice to have an option for a 4" sandwich for my wife. The turkey pesto sandwich was good, but not 5 star. It was a bit skimpy on the meat when compared to some other places. I expected a bit more. But the quality of the meat (and the bread!) were great. All in all, worth the price. I would come back. And the cookies were huge! Restaurant was clean, lots of seating, restrooms very clean. Some other reviewers refer to the Subway Sandwich shop on the other side of the building, where I've stopped at many times, While Subway is great in giving you lots of options for veggies (etc) to add, and usually add more meat, the quality of their bread is very very poor in comparison to this spot. My husband and I are visiting Lake Tahoe. Today I was just exhausted and needed to just rest and my husband picked up sandwiches from West Coast sourdough on his way back to the hotel after cycling. I got the peppered turkey and a bowl of clam chowder and a chocolate chip cookie for later. It was freaking amazing. I picked which toppings I wanted and the bread was phenomenal. I love sourdough bread but I've never had it in like a role like this. It was so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The turkey was really good. The clam chowder was delicious. I just ate two bites of the cookie and I can't eat anymore till later but it's was really good. Some people have said it's expensive but everything's expensive now and you get what...

Been working all day without eating met the family there ordered French dip and 8oz clam chowder. Within 15 mins of being home threw up just the soup. Two other people had soup as well and I’m the only one that threw up, and I NEVER throw up. Come to think of it my daughter (17months old) was eating Mac n cheese and at one point stop mid bite eyes starting watering and I could see the saliva building up, I immediately got her to spit out. Didn’t think anything of it though. Anyways take it with a grain of salt, but this will be the last time...
