Friendly, relaxed, nice people--parking? New in town, a way to get out and around without going for a full dining experience alone, I have hit a few happy hours for a discount drink and appetizers and if lucky, some social conversation. Tuesday, I stopped into the Classic Cue the wrong day for their $2 tacos but ordered two (at $3 each) and a draft beer and was very pleased with the fare. The owner/ bartender was a sincerely friendly guy and I felt at home in no time at all. There were several people present between the bar and tables. They seemed like neighborhood regulars. A bit of conversation here and there I wasn't really part of, I didn't feel left out of either. One later-arriving guest took a seat a seat away from me and we talked about common travels in Montana. I don’t know all the bartenders, but there’s some really douchey ones on the weekends. On top of that, the locals here are out of control and think they’re part of the bar a lot of times. It’s a little disconcerting that the folks that work here can’t manage the bar well on the weekends. There are lots of fights and altercations that aren’t handled well by employees or whatever untrained and likely not certified “security” that happens to be around.
