Karla Cuban Bakery | Westchester Store — Restaurant in South Miami

I have always liked going to Karla Bakery for the quality of its products and cuisine, but for some time now they have changed a lot of personnel and I don't know if they are not trained well or what. The Cuban sandwich is not the same, neither the cut nor the amount of ham and cheese that it had. They were two liquid slices of ham and cheese. The boiling coffee that burned my lip and tongue that is a pity not to be able to put the photo. That was what happened today and I still can't eat. And the silly questions, what if I didn't ask for it lukewarm, ?? What if I didn't feel it in the glass that was so hot? Etc ... please !! Those machines are at the right temperature, the coffee is not boiling, they don't even give me a napkin. And that there were no clients, only I was there, there were five people working than clients. And it was tremendously burned that I still can't eat the one he gave me ... it's not the same anymore. Since the Cuban staff left, the other Latin girls of another nationality do not give one at all ... it is my thinking, I have been going there for the two years of the pandemic, but forgive me, this year the attention and the quality of their products with the new staff who have one year...

This location doesn’t even have there coffee machine on in the morning, what Cuban bakery doesn’t have it on ?! I waited about 7 minutes just for coffee. And when I got it the coffee was maybe room temperature warm, when I informed him it wasn’t even hot he said yea I can kinda warm it up for you. All my other items were already cold by the time the coffee was done. He was also living very slow. I had to heat the coffee at work just was coldish in the car to even drink it. For such a small place they really need to get there act together ! Most likely won’t...

This is a busy spot, there was 1 very attentive server, Yunaisis at the time that I was there and she acknowledged each customer as they walked in even though she was tending to other customers. She’s very polite and does her best to prepare and fill every order in a timely manner. Between 12 noon and 4:00 PM (closing time) it’s a 1 person shift so if you’re expecting to be in & out in a jiffy it’s probably not going to happen. Awesome pastries, croquetas, sandwiches, shakes and of course “cafecito”. I will definitely be returning, wish they had one...
