So I decided to give Sergio another chance, but unfortunately they disappointed again. I ordered the Pan con Bistec, the bread was old! I sat down to eat one and another one to go, but when I told the waiter that the bread was old, she replied like how could it be? They bring the fresh bread every day. I politely told her that the fact they bring the bread every day doesn’t mean that it’s not old. I said do you want to taste the piece of the bread? She said oh no so she didn’t believe me. She offered the midnight sandwich bread Or French bread, but it was $1.75 more. I said why should I have to pay more because your bread is stale and she kept insisting that they deliver every day! Well, what she might not know that maybe not all the bread gets used and they were getting rid of yesterday‘s bread or maybe the bakery delivered all bread whatever the reason I don’t know but I do know that after eating hundreds of them I do know how to judge fresh bread from stale bread. So she wouldn’t budge on the $1.75 and I said look just cancel it. I’ll order it across the street from El Rey de la Fritas. Night and day five times better across the street & less money! Last but not least the thickness of the meat was so thin was like a piece of paper. I’ve never seen a steak so thin in my life! I know everyone has a thin steak because for the price you can’t afford a thick steak, but this was beyond thin. This was like super thin I wish I would’ve taken a picture. The water was served after I had a few bites into the steak! Now I like cold weather and I like AC, I sat in one of the booths and it was freezing, freezing cold. I didn’t say anything, but the lady behind me did tell her waitress (different one) That it was freezing, and she responded that she had the setting high! I couldn’t keep quiet and I said she’s right it is freezing in here. She smartly and quickly responded with a smirk oh then that means the AC is working! As a customer, we don’t want to make waitresses feel bad, but at least acknowledge a customer‘s complaint with a dignity that they’re saying the truth give them the benefit of the doubt instead of smart...
Read moreOn Sunday, July 27, at approximately 7 PM, I ordered food through Sergio’s website and received a text notification that my order was ready for pickup. I drove to the restaurant, where I found several delivery drivers waiting at the pickup window. The staff member at the window avoided eye contact and provided no acknowledgment. Despite the text confirmation, I was told my order wasn’t ready. The employee then disappeared for several minutes without explanation. When she returned with the manager, they focused on the computer, seemingly addressing an order issue, but ignored the growing line of drivers. After waiting over five minutes with no updates, I noticed multiple orders sitting on a shelf, yet no effort was made to assist anyone or verify names for pickups. This lack of organization and communication was frustrating and disrespectful.
I expressed my concerns to the manager, who dismissed me, stating they were “working on orders” without addressing the delay or acknowledging the customers waiting. This felt dismissive and unprofessional. When I finally received my food, it was cold, and the fries were stale, as if prepared well in advance.
The treatment of delivery drivers and customers was dehumanizing, with zero regard for basic courtesy. It’s clear the staff prioritizes internal tasks over customer service, which is unacceptable for a restaurant. I urge management to review the 7 PM camera footage to witness this behavior firsthand. I will not return to Sergio’s and strongly advise others to avoid this location until significant...
Read moreMe and my wife dined in Sergios's on 9330 sw 40 st, on November 17, 2015 at exactly 9:46pm. The name of our waitress was Yaneisi. This was one of the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my entire life. The entire time eating, our waitress kept staring at us along with her coworkers and somewhat laughing, I didn’t think of it much. Eventuallly my wife noticed too. I was confused. It was very noticeable. She was somewhat rude and I was being very polite to her. My wife ordered the Palomilla steak and the waitress did not ask how she wanted the steak done. On the receipt it was marked as “medium well”. My wife does NOT like her steak medium well. While we waited for our food I watched as everyone else was served a complimentary glass of water and garlic bread. I was shocked that we were the ONLY two people in the entire restaurant that was NOT offered any water or garlic bread before our food arrived. I didn’t want my wife to notice because it was embarrassing. The restaurant was not busy at all and my waitress was chatting with her coworkers. Roughly 25 minutes later I spoke to the manager and I asked if water and bread was complimentary and he apologized. Wow. At this point we were finished and eager to leave and never come back. We didn’t touch our water or garlic bread at all. Our waitress did not acknowledge us, not even a thank you when we received the check. She must have been angry at me because I called the manager, yet I was still nice enough to leave a tip. Do not come here on a date unless you want to...
