Eastern Winds Restaurant — Restaurant in South Ogden

We visited Eastern Winds Restaurant because we wanted to try a new place. Our family was pleasantly surprised. We each tried something different off the dinner combination menu which came with soup, wonton, shrimp, eggroll and ham fried rice for about 10.00 a meal. The portions were huge. I will be eating several meals from my Chicken Chow Mein which had a very good flavor and came with a nice combination of veggies and meat. My daughter had the orange chicken which was a little spicey but she liked it. My other daughter had the sweet and sour chicken and she had no complaints. My son had the general tso's chicken. He tried to eat the whole thing and could only get through the about half of his order. I asked for some chili sauce and it was really good but just to warn you it is spicey. I liked it but I like spicey.

The restaurant is clean, very reasonably priced and the you will take home leftovers. We were impressed. They also deliver through grub hub. So we will...

We decided to stop by Eastern Winds for the first time tonight, and we loved it!

We went on a Saturday night around 8pm, walked right in and were seated immediately! The seated dining room had beautiful red vinyl cushioned booths that were so shiny and clean, they looked brand new! The low lighting at night was cozy and gave the dining room the appearance of a warm, nostalgic movie scene.

We started with the Daily Egg Drop Soup and some egg rolls. The soup was rich and salty and the egg rolls were piping hot, exactly what we wanted as appetizers! For our entrees we ordered the Mongolian Beef and Strawberry Chicken! The beef was a classic taste with a bit of spice, not too much and not too little - absolutely delicious and savory! The Strawberry Chicken was an amazing surprise - sweet, sour, fruity and crispy - so unique and had well balanced flavors!

The service was great, our waitress was very kind! We can't wait...

I ALWAYS have taken my Mom here because she loves it, however we went and we stood there in the main area while the guy was on his phone looked up at us and proceeded to text or whatever he was doing and STILL had us wait for like 10 minutes, so I just went and sat my Mom down, he then walked over with the menus and slapped them on the table walked away. The waitress was even worse she walked over no greet just asked "what you want"? we placed our order when I asked if we can get a couple of sodas she acted like I asked for her right arm! THEN she brings it over slides the plates with a slight bang of the plate on the table. The food was good but the service was garbage. It's really sad that they even acted like that when we were still very nice to them up until we left. We even left a tip.
