Going to speak from a customer standpoint and a person who runs a business. Usually I am one to try and resolve things and not try to make a big deal or nonetheless leave a review. (which I called, as well as came in twice). I took in some MTG cards to trade in and yesterday to get a value for and got a call back today with an offer and decided to just keep the cards instead. Came in picked up my cards and went up to see what else I could pick up. I ended up spending a little over $60 for some packs and a box. Got home to start sorting everything out and started with the stuff I wanted to trade in. (Also made sure to scan these cards ahead of time to ensure quantity of cards and what I brought in). I noticed that I was missing a card but had the right quantity but not that one card. So I checked again and again and 2 other times after that. So I took my box in and explained what happened to the gentleman and sure enough they had the card. When I was in I was pretty frustrated and had just taken the card back home. I ended up calling back in and had asked to speak with the owner and the same gentleman behind the trade in desk picked up. He had given me a brief explanation of what had happened and how thing ended up, as well as took the fault of the card being left behind in a random bin.
As a customer - Please be sure to double check your cards and keep account not only for your due diligence but for situations like this. It may not seem like they are fully in the wrong, but there most likely isn't a way to paper trail that one card back to you, and it my be your most expensive one you brought in (Like mine).
As a business - Please due yourself a favor and create a format that might allow you to not run in to fault when customers of yours come to trade in and there cards are stuck behind others. As well as keep a digital footprint. It's 2025 and most MTG players (I assume yourself with the state of business your in) have ways to keep track with apps or websites.
I hope this serves well for others looking to do the same as well as to keep a peace of mind when doing any sort of business when it involves trading or...
Read moreDefinitely the best shop that I know of in the area. They host the best events and have the lowest prices. Their preleases are full of people and very competitive. They also give the best prizing out of any store I know of in the area. The staff is very helpful and personable and run their events well. They have been very understanding of me being disabled during their events and accommodating me.
Their play area is huge and with all the above it’s no wonder they are the most busy store I know of around.
The few things that I have as criticisms against this store is they aren’t particularly knowledgeable about comics. My gf asked about a comic release and they had no idea about it. They have some comics but clearly this is a mostly game store.
The second problem is their customers. My gf and I are transgender women. We’ve experienced all sorts of misgendering at this store by individuals playing despite very very clearly indicating through our appearance that we are women.
Third, the competitive environment is fine but with increased opportunity comes a lot less personable interactions with other players. We’ve tried to connect with other players at the store and it just basically has felt impossible. There’s just a lot of very awkward boys mostly and almost no women present a max of maybe 5 women at a 50+ person prerelease which is unfortunate but also not something they can super control so I don’t hope this against...

Driving through town my husband tried to find his old gaming store and found it located at this brand new facility. It was easily seen from the road and filled with lovely AC.
After skulking around and taking lots of photos I noticed they had a better selection of Warhammer / mini paint then my local shop. I asked if they had an expert on hand and they said I was lucky because Sunday is the day Kelli was in.
She has an art degree and it clearly shows. She was able to explain to us the difference between base paints and a new contrast that came out and really gave us lots of useful advice for our skill level.
The comic shop in the back looked fine. They also had guest Wi-Fi that was pretty solid. The upstairs had an exceptional amount of space for board gamers and card players alike. Even had a room filled with Funko pops on the way back down. Also a large selection of $50 D&D and role-playing books. Oh! And they had some sort of regular discount along with a military discount of 10%!
Overall, I'm really jealous that I don't have such a large-scale multifaceted store at my hometown location. I can't wait to plan a stop when I come into...
