Bakes by Izzy — Restaurant in South Orange

I would love to give Bakes by Izzy a five stars for the cakes she baked and designed for our daughter's wedding. She and her husband had gotten married in a small ceremony in upstate NY, and we followed with a large "marriage" celebration in NJ. Emily Marsac, Izzy owner of Bakes by Izzy, designed two cakes requested by the couple: one was Funfetti decorated like the beach (the couple lives at the beach) and another carrot cake w/ cream-cheese frosting and small carrots as a decoration. I ordered some treats for a holiday party and they were delicious! The apple cake was flavorful and not overly sweet, and the nutella cups were so decadent they really hit the spot - I was supposed to share one with my husband but ate most of it leaving him only one bite! I'm looking forward to trying more of their stuff. The online ordering system made it especially convenient during the holiday craze. Highly recommend...

Amazing quality and so delicious! I have ordered cupcakes multiple times, and they are always so fresh and tasty! The sponge and the frosting are very balanced, not overly sugary. It is really one of my favorite cupcakes and being so close to the city, there is real competition.
