Extremely disappointing. Visited the Under Cover Music Festival and my boyfriend bought two Tacos and a Jarrito’s Soda from the Jus Tacos tent. About 10 mins after purchasing he realized he was charged $50.00 for two tacos and a soda. When we went back to explain what happened we were told that there was nothing that could be done because the charge was still pending and they “could not return money they don’t have yet”. I asked repeatedly for a receipt so we could sort it out with the bank & the worker told us that there was no record of the transaction even going through. Basically Insinuating the order was not paid for. We repeatedly showed her the ApplePay charge that clearly said their business name. It’s extremely concerning that nothing else could have been done to at least provide us with a receipt so that we could let the bank know the true amount of purchase. To add insult to injury food was extremely subpar. Do better, Jus Tacos.
Update: The charge cleared for the entire $50.11 and you guys still have not refunded the difference. Absolutely disgusting and disingenuous.
2nd Update: I asked repeatedly if i could go into the store to get this figured out and you told me it wouldn't make a difference. I was literally throwing possible solutions out to you and you shut down every single one. At the very least we wanted a receipt. If you could not find the original receipt you could have still provided us with something to show the bank the true amount so that this could be taken care of by them. This review would not have been posted if you weren't so dismissive to us. The fact that we were overcharged by your establishment didn't seem to phase you not one bit. At this point it’s not about the $50, its principle. Your establishment overcharged and did nothing to make the...
Read moreFood was great. However, I ordered on grubhub and put no onions on ALL my tacos. they came.. yep with onions. I talked to grubhub and told them what happened and got a refund just for the tacos and not my guac/chips. I less than 5 minutes get a hostile call from what I assume is the owner. They’re asking me what happened with my food and I explain and they get upset saying nowhere did it say no onion however I offer to send them proof of my order stating so. She then demands me to return the food and I told her no because i’m eating it i’m taking off the onions? I apologized because I didn’t know the money would be directly taking it from them and perhaps I would’ve called them first if I knew. I keep stating to her to let me send her pictures of my food and my receipt and she eventually gave a nasty attitude saying that she hopes I enjoy the food. Didn’t know grubhub allowed restaurants to harass customers. Genuinely never ordering again, such a shame because the food wasn’t bad ( apart from me spending 30 min taking the onions out)
edit: yeah i know i got a refund— i said i did… lol. it wasn’t FULL because the guac and chips were fine? thanks for letting me know the point of the call was to exchange the tacos because you definitely didn’t let that be known. anyways food was good, it was just the harassment and...
Read moreLegit taqueria. Tastes really good, really legit. I had the campechano tacos. Good amount of meat on there. Four really satisfied me. Salsas were good. It came with a thin taco shop tomatillo/avacado salsa, and a pretty spicy creamy salsa. Both were good though I think they were missing just something in them. Maybe cilantro or something. Either way, solid in their own right.
Downside is that it is very expensive. $20 with tax for 4 tacos is really pushing it, as good as they were. I almost always cook, so I almost never eat out. However, my boss was paying for dinner, so I wanted to take advantage of it and try their food.
In my opinion, this is by FAR the best mexican restaurant in the neighborhood, and the most authentic. I ate there tonight and felt compelled to write a review.
I have no doubt the other offerings are good based...
