In the bustling gastronomic landscape of Chantilly, Virginia, stands a culinary gem that is as much a feast for the senses as it is for the palate - Somac Korean Fusion Bar and Grill. The Korean Fried Chicken is a must-try. Expertly fried to a golden crisp, the chicken retains its juiciness beneath its crunchy exterior. Allow them some time to craft this dish; good things come to those who wait, and this chicken is undeniably good. The assortment of delightful sauces accompanying the chicken further elevates the dish, adding a delicious layer of complexity to each bite.
The lunch box special with Galbi is a delightful exploration of flavors and textures. The Galbi, with its succulent, grilled flavor, pairs wonderfully with the lightness of the rice. The addition of fried dumplings and salad provides a refreshing contrast, creating a balanced meal that is both satisfying and light.
If you're looking for a dish that's both comforting and invigorating, look no further than the Mul Naengmyeon. Cold buckwheat noodles served in a chilled broth, adorned with radish, cucumber, sliced pear, meat, and a boiled egg, it's a dish that is as visually pleasing as it is delicious. The combination of textures and flavors creates a symphony in your mouth, leaving you refreshed and eager for more.

Read moreI really hate to leave a negative review after reading how nice the owners are - this restaurant was recommended by some friends who raved about how good the food taste and their experience.
We decided to give them a try.
We noticed their menu is similar to the popular bonchon with their soy garlic or spicy Korean fried chicken.
I'm not the biggest fan of BonChon but I decided to give this restaurant a try and order their boneless in the two flavors mentioned.
The chicken was over cooked, dry and hard - don't ask me why I ate some anyway - I even tried to add a little ranch dressing to make the food more palatable which only made me eat a little more.
this was the first time I've ever experienced matching stomach pains in the exact same place in the stomach at the exact same time in the same conversation with someone.
My stomach hurts, mine too.
That was the beginning... I was getting instant indigestion and I haven't experienced indigestion in years.
Why did I think I could sleep it off and let my digestive system repair a bad decision... Nope, Never again.
I'm done with eating fast food. This was the worst decision. I only slept 4 hours and I'm going to have to hot lemon ginger water fast for the next 48 hours.
As horrible as I feel, I hate to leave this review because owners hate negative reviews - but I promise you I'm done with fast food and I have this restaurant to thank for helping me come to that decision.
This review is genuine, this review has nothing to do with the owners, this review is only about my experience. I knew better and I'm paying the price.
Oh and those friends, I'm not eating out anymore. - food in the trash. Money spent for a...
Read moreAfter reviewing this place below, I have been back many times to my local Korean joint. No changes, but additions are necessary.
The Korean food here is generally excellent. My favorite dish is Ddukbaegi Bulgogi, a rich soup with glass noodles, vegetables, and bulgogi. I also love the Yakisoba which disappoints me only when it is all gone. Their kimchi pancakes are wonderful, though a bit too moist.
On our first visit, I ordered the Prime Ribs. The $27 price tag set my expectations very high but i was disappointed. The marinade was absolutely awesome and the meat was perfectly cooked. Portion was large. The problem was that the meat had so much gristle it was impossible to chew. Maybe it was a bad cut. My wife got kimchee fried rice and it was ok. We took another chance because we were still hopeful. I ordered the Bulgogi and it was awesome. Again, the marinade was phenomenal. The meat was cooked to perfection. Some might find the sauce too sweet or salty, but I loved it. My wife got japchae and we liked it. The bonchon was good. The second visit rehabilitated my view of this place and we will definitely be back.
Got takeout for the third visit. Ordered boneless chicken nuggets, chicken legs half hot, half soy, and bibimbop with bulgogi. All was excellent. The bulgogi was tender. The chicken was well fried and delicious. Definitely recommend. This restaurant will enter our regular circuit. Website was beautiful. Ordering...
