Hawi Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in South San Francisco

I agree with the last review here from the online "customer" Felix, about not being able to use their restrooms unless you're a customer is the excuse to me. As with Felix, I also had an online order. Now isn't that also considered a customer, you're still buying their food. Just bc u didn't sit down to eat it, you're not allowed to use their restrooms! HOW ABSURD IS THAT?

As a Doordash driver who is doing their service picking up their customer's food, this is the first time I was ever denied access while they had me even waiting on the food that should have been ready & they wouldn't let me go. Instead they had me go to Starbucks 4 buildings away & have the food be cold & late to customer waiting for my return, since now I took my time coming back.

WHAT KIND OF SERVICE THEY LEAD FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS? I'm sure they lost some online customers they REFUSED...

Pretty darn good. I am picky about my Hawaiian food, and for me what stood out here is the tonkatsu sauce was on point, which is usually lacking for me at these fast food Hawaiian joints. It wasnt quite the bulldog brand, but pretty close, especially if it was homemade.

We got the katsu plate, beef/Teri chicken/katsu plate, and musubi, all was pretty good, katsu wasn't as fresh and juicy as I would have liked, but...

Similar menu, prices, and portions to L&L Hawaiian BBQ. Food tastes a little better than L&L, especially if you eat it in the restaurant instead of letting it get soggy in the takeout box. There is a good amount of dining space in the restaurant, but it does get crowded during lunch and dinner hours. One regular plate is enough for 2 people and they will gladly give you an extra plate...
