Absolutely Worst Dine-In Experience — Avoid This Location
We arrived at this Mountain Mike’s at 8:50 PM, ordered 3 pizzas at 9:00 PM, paid in full, and simply sat down to eat like any normal customer would. Nowhere were we told that dine-in was closed. No sign. No heads-up. Nothing. We patiently waited until 9:30 PM for our pizza, only to be rudely told we couldn’t eat inside—despite the fact that the place doesn’t close until 11:00 PM!
When we politely asked if we could just eat for 10 minutes, we were flat-out denied. The woman at the counter snapped back saying, “You should ask if you want to dine in.” What do you even mean by that? Should we take permission just to sit at a table? That’s an absurd and arrogant response to give paying customers. Again—no signs, no warning, and you expect people to guess your made-up rules?
It’s not like we walked in at closing time—we were FOUR people who clearly came to dine in. Why would a group of four place a takeout order and then just sit there for fun?
To make things worse, we ended up eating our pizza outside in the cold because we didn’t want the car to smell like food during our long drive home. Completely unacceptable. If you’re going to shut down dine-in at 9 PM, PUT UP A SIGN. Say it when we order. Don’t ambush people after making them wait 30+ minutes.
Even worse, a poor couple already eating inside left mid-meal because the vibe had become so uncomfortable from how we were treated. That’s the kind of cold, unprofessional environment this woman created today.
To the kitchen staff: amazing job on the pizza. You all clearly take pride in your work.
But unfortunately, your front-of-house ruined it all.
The woman handling orders and customer interaction needs serious training—or frankly, should not be in customer service at all.
She ruined what should have been a nice evening.
I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was inhumane and absolutely awful. We weren’t even close to closing time.
Closing was 11:00 PM, and we arrived at 8:50 PM. If this location isn’t interested in conducting business properly, it should stop pretending to.
You want our money, but don’t even allow us to sit and eat it?
This is by far the WORST Mountain Mike’s we’ve been to. Never again. !!!
Avoid unless you want to be kicked out with hot pizza in hand and no...
Read moreBrand new location directly across the Jack in the Box on Hickey & El Camino. We usually go to the one on Skyline and have mixed feelings. Sometimes the cashier is nice and accommodating, sometimes not. What makes this new location stand out is its variety of pizzas (when they come out). We came at peak lunch time so the place was packed, almost all tables full. Ordered the buffet and was hoping to dig in immediately as we were very hungry. However, we had to wait at least 15-20 minutes for the pizza station to be refilled, so the manager could be a bit more attentive to it during busy times. But the variety of pizzas that were available is definitely better than Skyline's. Love the BBQ, sausage/mushroom, and also love their very clean salad bar with FRESH greens. Looking forward to returning soon.
Update: revising to 5 stars! Gupreet was managing during the lunch hours. He was very polite and asked us if we wanted to request a pizza for the buffet. We picked our favorite, the McKinley. He brought it to our table after a while and said we could enjoy the entire pizza as he couldn't include it in the buffet station for some reason. Super generous. Lastly, he even gave us a box to take the rest home. That is definitely 5 star service. Love this location, please keep up...
Read moreWhen you walk in the place is big but kind of narrow setup. You stand in line and order on one side and dine on the other side. Decor is pretty simple. They have lots of balloons everywhere because they are still fairly new. We saw their name on the list of stores in the plaza but couldn't figure out where it was when we drive by. Well, it's literally behind Jack in the Box for those who don't know. They have a lot of items to choose from. Surprisingly, we liked the food here then the other location in Daly City. We were greeted and helped right away. Prices were decent, not crazy expensive but affordable. I think I spent $40 for 3 items.
We ordered:
Mozzarella sticks - Fresh, crunchy, and had a nice cheesy pull.
Garlic knots - Nice and crunchy - can be a little greasy at the bottom. I ended up transferring it to the pizza. I didn't want it to just sit in the buttery grease. It was a little burnt for my liking but good.
Small McKinley pizza - Perfectly cooked, and I liked that the crust was a little thick, not cardboard like. Fresh tasting, veggies were nice and crisp.
I highly recommend this place. Parking is a...
