Taste Restaurant — Restaurant in South San Francisco

Taste restaurant… My family and I attempted to dine at your restaurant on September 14, 2022 for dinner. We were seated and waited patiently for over 40 minutes until we got up and searched for our waitress. We finally got a hold of her and she said ok, I’m coming. About another 5-10 minutes pass and she still has not returned to take our order. So we decided to leave. It was unfortunate because we were looking forward to enjoying a wonderful dinner with great company. I understand that their most likely are not enough staff to serve the guests. But one thing I would suggest is to learn how to communicate and definitely apologize for the lack of service performed. We clearly understand and simple easy actions would have completely changed the whole scenario. Please do better for those guest that are to come now...

The overall setting was nice, comfortable. I ordered the clam chowder and it was a bit thin, too many vegetables and not enough creamy broth. (It wasn't creamy at all, though advertised that way). The Buffalo cauliflower was amazing, and the bread pudding was fantastic, saved the meal. No listed non-alcholic drinks on the menu so not very child friendly, which you'd assume at a hotel restaurant. There was no clear way to order, I just sat down with my company and we waved the waiter down, he assumed we were not ordereding, just sitting. I think it would be better have some clear space of some sorts to figure that out. Overall 4 star rating. Good but...

I ordered room service. I ordered a burger "medium rare" it was delivered cold and well done and seemed like it was cooked the night before. I ordered the spicy chicken wings but they were delivered cold and plain with no spice or seasoning. I returned my order to the restaraunt and requested a refund. The staff looked at me with a confused look and made no attemlt to correct the situation. The staff informed me that the manager was not there and that they couldn't do anything for me. WHAT A SCAM! This place is disgusting and I highly recommend going out to eat or ordering from a restaurant elsewhere. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME...
