Southern Grill — Restaurant in South Williamsport

I was there on Sunday August 20th to hear the band and have a few drinks. The band was amazing to say the least. Turkey hoagie very good as well as my Captain and Coke. I'm very glad that we have a local pub/bar with entertainment that is within a mile radius of Lake Wynonah. That is the great news however: I do have some concerns for the owner and establishment. It appeared to me that the bartenders there on Sunday we're very unexperienced and didn't have any training. They appeared lost on the POS system and the one was way over pouring drinks. The wait time for the food was entirely too long for the crowd that was there. I am kind of disappointed because I really want this place to survive and do well. Having 6 years of experience in successfully managing a bar, I'm not sure if Southern Grill will survive if there are not protocols put in place and people trained well to work as a team. I really hope I'm wrong because I really enjoyed myself over...

Great breakfast, great portions. Best place I have ever had 2 beers and a whiskey sour at 8:30 in the morning. Just getting of night shift and came here on recommendations from coworkers and they did not disappoint. I could tell you that the owner and staff gave the first round of drinks to health care workers on the house. I could tell you that a kind patron named Doug paid for three nurses meals and drinks. But what you need to know is that the staff are personable, kind, and attentive. That the food was fast, cooked to order, and delicious. And if the surroundings look a little rough it is surpassed by their hearts of gold!
