Dollar General — Local services in South Williamsport

My experience there left me so unwelcoming. In fact this experience I had I have never in my entire life have been so humiliated. I'm literally pinching pennies and I needed milk so I scrounged up some change looked on my bank card and another card that I had just to be able to get milk. Well I go up to pay for it and I tell the cashier that I'm sorry I'm going to be difficult and told him how I had to pay for it. So I started counting out the change and he asked me if I wanted to pay with the cards first I said well however it doesn't matter but then looked to see how much I could do. So I said I need $1.20 taken off of this card and I put it in the card reader and it still showed it was charging the whole amount which was $3.95. So I figured maybe it was just saying that and it would still be the $1.20 taken off. Nope it ended up charging the whole amount. He then also says to me I can tell when someone is rich and that is you. Like the whole situation made me feel uncomfortable and humiliated. To top things off there was another lady standing behind me waiting to pay for her merchandise. So I said to him did it just charge my whole card he said well yeah. I said fine whatever I'm just gonna get an overdraft. This cashier needs to be taught more on how to deliver customer service. He is just down right ignorant.

Most of the employees don’t know what they’re doing. The line is always backed up, and it takes 20 minutes to get a simple item. They never open the second register or self-checkout—they just stare at you like brainless zombies while letting the person with no experience handle a 20-person line. The place always has a funky smell, like the employees are unhygienic. The one time the bigger fella opened self-checkout, he huffed and puffed as he threw our merchandise into bags. Definitely needs employees with a brain—or at least the slightest bit...

Service was bad, prices weren't great. I actually paid more here than I would have going to Walmart, Michaels, ac moore or hobby lobby but it was close and I needed folders for a work project. They had cheaply made ones for 40 cents more than all these other stores. Took forever at the counter waiting to check out as two cashiers had a discussion about how awful their day was. Then proceeded to check me out and tell me all about it. I understand the job isn't all peaches and cream but that isn't something I would share with or in...
