Peach Cobbler Factory — Restaurant in Southaven

I paid $10 for a dish of cherry cobbler, that came with a side of ice cream. The price is the same, either way. If you take it to go, which I did, they keep the two in separate dishes, which was a nice touch. I put the ice cream in the freezer for another day, so this was just the cobbler, that I ate. I forgot why I prefer pie: the crust! The cobbler crust was fine, not too overwhelmingly sweet, it was a bit more substantial ratio of cobbler crust to cobbler filling. The filling goo to filling fruit ratio was overpowering! It was a lot of sugar sauce to actual cherries. They are the tart cherries though, so it’s not an utter failure. My expectations were too high, as I was think about homemade tart cherry pie, and settled with cobbler, hoping for a fix. Was it terrible? No. If I were on a hunger strike and it fell from the sky, I’d eat it again. Would I pay $10 for it again? No. Did it make me feel like my craving was satiated? No. But I’m not going to go looking for tart cherry pie in Olive...

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. While the service was fair, the Cobblers were awful. Three adults and one child all were extremely dissatisfied. We ordered caramel apple, peach, sweet potato pecan, and strawberry cobblers. All of them were distasteful, some were filled with extra salt, others were clearly put together from ready-made product, the only thing that was okay was the ice cream. We also tested the banana pudding, this is perfect if you're the person that likes banana pudding but southern people normally like vanilla pudding or a mixture of vanilla and banana pudding, this banana pudding was not great. The options at this place are plentiful! They all sound delicious, too. The employees were so friendly and the lady taking our order was so sweet and welcoming. 10/10 there!

As for the dessert - my husband and I ended up getting a strawberry and a blackberry cobbler. It was delicious, but I think it tasted more like a pie than a cobbler because of the crust. The strawberry was a a little off putting too because of the color, so it’s not fresh, but it was still good. 7/10 on the cobbler. I think we’re going to try the banana...
