Thai Orchid — Restaurant in Southbridge

I ordered this one time several years ago when i first moved here and it is night and day!

I dont leave reviews unless i think something is very good or very poor andi its hard to believe this is the same place just about every component of our dinner was bad.

i just cant fathom how they can pass off batter with a tiny sliver of overcooked chicken inside as "chicken fingers" I kid you not when i say overcooked its almost like they pre-cook the chicken first then batter it otherwise i cant for the life of me figure out how they could end up this way. Not to mention a few of the any the "chicken fingers were not edible no chicken inside whatsoever straight up batter, insulting especially when you work like a dog for your money.

The rice was all clumped up together like its been sitting in a warmer all day possibly reheated i wouldnt serve it to a homeless guy im not exaggerating the fried rice was clearly FAR from fresh.

Beef Satay tiny slivers of tasteless meat but far from my biggest complaint.

Crab Rangoon was the only item i though was ok.

As i type this i sit in front of a mound of food that will go in the trash after i finish writing this (thats how insulted i am i went straight to review)

I am a regular at Dynasty i give them around a hundred bucks every saturday and well i wanted to try and support other local business but this is beyond a bad meal its outright disrespectful to serve someone this. Something straight out of kitchen nightmares where a business starts to struggle and thinks the way to solve it is by scaring would be regulars like myself away by cutting corners every way possible.

I hate to leave a 3 star review b/c the food, price, and service is not bad. But as far as taste go - it’s just decent. I just like to be honest in my reviews b/c I don’t like it when I see a place gets rated 5 stars I expect impeccable service and food which was what I expected from this place because of the overall review, but it’s not the case. I think the reason this place is rated so well is b/c the price is very inexpensive for Thai food, but the quality of the food reflects it. Don’t expect full service dine in experience b/c there is no wait staff. The food taste decent - it can satisfy your Thai cravings very inexpensively, but it’s not very quality even though it is made to order. The people there are very nice and provide awesome service. Ever since they sold to new owners it's just declined rapidly. We used to eat here once a week happily. Now we order maybe once every few months. We just ordered to go food and over the phone they say 25 minute, we live 25 minutes away so it's a perfect wait time. We get there they say 5 more minutes. While I am waiting my shoes are sticking to the floor and flies are buzzing around. 30 more minutes go by, we get our food, take it home and its essentially inedible. We spent almost 50 dollars on food and ate none of it. The Pad mee was like re heated spaghetti noodles with too much fish sauce and the spicy noodles smelt like burnt rubber and tasted just as bad.
