This charming mom-and-pop restaurant is a hidden gem! Our host and server provided exceptional service, were always attentive to our needs, and were ready with fantastic menu recommendations. The atmosphere is warm, clean, and welcoming. I loved the Flor de Jamaica drink—delicious and exactly what I hoped for. For those unsure, it's not about the country but a delightful semi-bitter beverage crafted from a unique plant. You have to try it! We had fresh fried chips and salsa, fried empanadas, flautas, tacos, and Al pastor with sides of beans and rice! All I can say as a Latina from NY who came for a weekend getaway this was a gem to have found. Highly recommend and hope to come back sometime in the summertime.

Finally Southington has good Mexican food. Everything tastes authentic, and they have Horchata!

Picture is a Tlayuda. Size of a med pizza and so good! I've tried their tacos, Burritos (big!), fried empanadas, and Memelas. All so good!

Price is fair considering our market. Will fill you. People are very friendly and funny, very engaging. I notice whenever I show up, there are other people. It has a very relaxed atmosphere. People always seem happy. The good food no doubt.

The workers all seem like family, and they always have time to talk a little. They ask how I like the food, and my opinion.

We were in town for a race yesterday and decided on a whim to grab Mexican food here. We're Arizona transplants and it has been difficult to find food that reminds us of home. If you're from So Cal or Arizona, this will remind you of the hole in the wall burrito and taco shops we have there. Like Los Betos or Rigobertos. Two of us got carne asada burritos, one of us got shredded beef tacos, and I got papas locas, which is somewhat adjacent to carne asada fries (I got them with carnitas). Everything was excellent.
