I chose to order online. I prepaid with a credit card around 1045 to have the order ready for 11. When I got there I was told they didnāt get my order, to put it in again otherwise Iād have to wait at the back of the line. I was told one of my choices French toast was out of stock and had been for an hour. The line was long and the place was packed. I reordered online, choosing sweet cinnamon as a replacement for French toast. I waited for a half an hour. At 11:30 I went up to register to ensure my order went through. I was told it did but they tried to call me to tell me they no longer had double everything. I was sitting in the restaurant the entire time. Had someone told me perhaps my other choices wouldnāt be out of stock. So I chose an everything instead. Then I am told they are out of sweet cinnamon, so I chose cinnamon raisin. I would have just left and not ordered anything had I not prepaid. When I came in and was told they didnāt get my order, to remedy the situation she should have just got my order immediately. I waited for over a half an hour for bagels flavors I didnāt order but had paid for.
Edit: No one called my name while I sat there in the restaurant. My phone never rang, nor did I get a voicemail. I went up to counter after waiting for a half hour and thatās when I learned what I ordered was out of stock. Iāve worked in the restaurant business for 22 years and if there was an order that didnāt go through regardless on whose fault it was Iād get the order in ASAP. But thanks for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFancy Bagels is a brand new bagel shop in Southwick offering pretty good food. We went in at 11 for lunch and walked in to a very busy shop. It took us a bit to order, but we soon sat down and waited for our food. The wait was long for 4 bagels, and about 15 minutes in they told us they had run out of one of our orders (Cinnamon Raisin Bagel). However, when we got our food, most of the bagels were very tasty. We got two plain bagels, an Asiago bagel, and a French toast bagel. The Asiago bagel had a good crisp and a savory flavor, and the French toast bagel was caramelized and sweet. Unfortunately, the plain bagel that replaced the cinnamon raisin bagel was untoasted and had bits of onion. Despite this, the other plain bagel was delicious. Overall, Fancy Bagels is a great place that weāre sure to go back to, especially as this is their first few weeks opening! Check it out if youāre nearby.
Update: We went again a couple months after their opening, and it seems that the shop is still extremely busy. The employees seem overwhelmed, and the atmosphere is a bit chaotic. The bagels are, as expected, pretty good, I got the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel which had great flavors. Hopefully they are able to keep up with the demand, since their bagels are definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGiving 5 for food because the bagels are amazing. Best bagels around, second only to a trip to Long Island. Service is relatively quick given how busy they are. When thereās a line out the door, donāt expect to be in and out in 5 min even after youāve ordered.
Itās gonna take a minute. It can get crowded and hectic when busy and everyoneās standing around waiting for their order, but thatās to be expected.
The dining area is clean and modern looking, so much brighter of an aesthetic than zantoās (obviously).
I shudder to think how this place may suffer when all the college kids go back to school. Good luck.
Anyway, this place is dope.
Only thing Iād like to have a less acidic coffee choice, especially for iced. Just not all that pleasant in my opinion.
Anyway thanks for...
