Pasticceria Italia — Restaurant in Southwick

I normally never write a bad review because I know how hard it is to own a business..However… There are some businesses whereas the owners appreciate their customers because the customers are the ones keeping the business alive… When you buy a pastry here or any cake Please be aware that your money is not appreciated..The only priority from my experience is the owners ego not the service to their customers.. I do not purchase cannolis from here because I don’t like the taste however I do buy the cookies but that’s really about it.. Now.. this was my experience today.. I purchased a cupcake , upon taking it home- It tasted horrible not only was it stale it just tasted Bad! Now I only tasted maybe less than a teaspoon, I didn’t eat half nor more- I took it back to the store and I told the owner it basically was stale - She got so insulted and said the cupcake was fresh- she was just so rude, She said I can get something else but I had to pay the 50 cents difference because a pastry cost more than the cupcake 😳… Now think about it- it was simply a vanilla cupcake- 🧁- it had to of been stale for me to return it.. It was a terrible taste.. In any food business- the owner would apologize for the stale food and do anything to accommodate the customer… I of course didn’t care about paying the 50 cents, I just couldn’t get over the arrogance.. No apology, just a dirty look and bad words in reference to me to the young additional worker there.. You see , this is what happens when there is no competition…I’m from Brooklyn, NY.. there are bakery pastry shops everywhere Unfortunately there are hardly any out here, I’ll have to continue my search cause I will never return here.. I’m not sure if that older lady was the owner but if she is..just know…. THE CUSTOMER IS NOT THE PRIORITY-...

Purchased their carrot cake and it wasn’t good at all. Not one shred of carrot to be found. I have spent a lot of money here from soups to pastries and have been satisfied. I called to let them know and the owner in my opinion could care less. She said it was their recipe and that was that. I expressed how all 4 of us who tried it thought it was tasted bad. She didn’t care and repeated that was their recipe... Honestly customers service and satisfaction isn’t something they care about I guess. If you have ever purchased a cake there, they aren’t cheap. She even said, “What do you want me to do about it?” She didn’t offer a refund or even a store credit. That’s what I was hoping for. She did offer for me to come in for a couple of pieces of another cake. I hung up the phone and decided this was my option. Don’t purchase the carrot cake if you are looking for a traditional carrot cake. They have lost a customer that has been going there since...

We did a 3-tier wedding cake with them. The best tasting cake I have tried from an Italian bakery! They do the authentic old school Italian pipping by hand. The cake was super moist and not dry at all!!! Very hard to find wedding cakes or cakes in general that are very fluffy and moist and just has a lot of flavor! Their white chocolate raspberry filling is the best and their chocolate cake with almond filling is amazing as well!!! Highly recommend them for wedding cakes and sweets in general. They are super honest and straightforward and will work with you to make what you really want and even more! They were even able to put any flowers on the cake that we wanted and our topper!
