We've all witnessed celebrities being ripped apart by the media— for putting on a few pounds, paying for their kids to get into college, or simply for going outside. Heaven forbid if Selena Gomez ever orders half a pastrami on rye and it doesn't end up on Newsweek. It's easy to see that being treated like a rockstar is not necessarily always a good thing. UNLESS we're talking about the time between entering and leaving Crumbl in Spanish Fork. The whole crew is a blessing to be around and a joy to converse with. It would be a gross understatement to say that Crumble in Spanish Fork has enhanced my life and my marriage. For a while, my life was on the rocks. The only Crumbl experience I'd ever had was with the Orem location, which did not leave a good taste in my mouth...figuratively and literally. The cookies just didn't have the same umphf I'd come to expect from an In-N-Out style cookie joint. There was a void in my life that could not be filled. I thought I was doomed to indulge solely in their competition, that foolishly only rolls out a single variety cookie per month. But behold, out to the ashes of my despair did rise the Crumbl in Spanish Fork like proverbial Phoenix. The cookies are great and with great variety. The staff is super fast and uber friendly! Who are these unsung heroines? Suzanne and Camille are warm and friendly, not unlike the cookies they sell. They've always been there for me to offer great advice on the perfect variety cookie combination, or to provide a shoulder for me to cry on. Usually the latter happens because of the former. If I hadn't already named my daughter I would have named her Camuzinnell, the perfect combination of Camille and Suzanne. It would be amiss not to mention the other friendly faces it has been my privilege to interact with on a bi-weeklyish basis. Shoutout to Gail, Jennah, and Chiana for their kindness and positive outlook on life.
So, would I recommend Crumbl in...
Read moreHuge, warm and tasty cookies. I bought the box of 4 for $10. I chose the Coconut Lime, Nutella & Sea Salt, Semi-sweet Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Sugar. I cut each one into 6 wedges allowing 6 people to have tastes of all of them. Eating one whole cookie is a bit of sugar overload for me and everyone enjoyed being able to try a bunch of them. Two of my nephews (3 & 8) took one bite of the Coconut Lime, didn't like it at all and gave the rest to their sister who loved that one. That was also me and my dad's favorite. They were still warm so when you cut into them and chocolate is oozing out -- everyone loves to see that. One of my nephews is allergic to eggs so he couldn't eat any of them, but he still enjoyed smelling them. It's a fun treat. Their gift cards are a bit strange for a couple reasons. 1) Instead of loading it up with a dollar amount, like most other gift cards do, you load it with the number of cookies. So, you cannot use the gift card for drinks, delivery fees, etc. Since the price per cookie goes down with the number that you purchase, I'm assuming that if you are a regular, you could get a gift card for yourself and you would have a lower per-cookie fee as you redeemed them. 2) Their system won't let them apply a gift card after you've placed the order. So, if you have a gift card, tell them up front or they have to cancel your order and start over and enter everything again. Just kinda strange. I have another nephew that works at a different location as a delivery driver. He said the drivers have fresh cookies in warmers in their cars and he'll go near BYU housing so he can ring your bell within 3 minutes of you placing the order. I would have loved it if they had a...
Read moreHad to wait 45 minutes for curbside, for 4 overpriced cookies. NOBODY at curbside ever received their orders. What a joke. My wife put in our car information, and checked in as 'here'. It told her "don't get out your car", we'll bring it to you." So we waited...45 minutes before going in. Half the people were in there because they weren't getting their curbside pickup after waiting forever. Once my wife went in, they said they called her multiple times and nobody answered (a random South Carolina number had called ONCE, we ignored), so they canceled the order. They said they tried to find us outside, but because we failed to put car information on the order, they couldn't find us, even though we did do exactly that, and an employee talked to the 2 cars in front of us, and ignored us. My wife ordered in advance and one of the cookies she wanted wasn't available. We also got an ice cream. Once we got there, they said THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY CHOCOLOATE CHIP COOKIES. My wife stared at the big tub of chocolate chip cookie dough on the other side of the counter in disbelief. They offered her the cookie that wasn't available online. Once they brought us our cookies in our car, we had to ask for our ice cream. They said it wasn't available, as if we were supposed to just let them keep our money for something they didn't provide. They did offer us an ice cream that also was out of stock online. When it's clear there's a customer service failure and business execution failure across the board like this, you don't blame the customer. Completely...
