Honeybun donuts & kolaches in Spanish fort — Restaurant in Spanish Fort

I thought I’d try Honey Bun Donuts in Spanish Fort for the first time… so I’ll share my experience. The sign said $7.99 for a half dozen of donuts. I selected to purchase a half dozen and picked out my six donuts. When I checked out, my total came to $12.03 with tax. I questioned why and he said it was because the donuts were the bigger ones. Trust me that these are no bigger than a normal size donut. I mentioned that this was very expensive for this purchase and I wouldn’t be returning. So no return trip to this donut shop. This place has great fresh doughnuts and breakfast foods. They have several different kolaches to choose from including jalapeño, smoked sausage, conecuh sausage, and boudin. They also have several breakfast croissants including bacon, egg, and cheese or sausage, egg, and cheese or ham, egg, and cheese. Their apple fritters are huge and delicious with a soft center and crunchy outside. You must try one of everything! The owners are extremely friendly. Great customer service. I was reading everyone’s reviews about how the donuts are awesome and the owners are super nice. Well, I want to say that everything that people wrote is TRUE!!! Today I got Valentines Donuts! Very Good!! The Sausage Rolls, THE BEST!! Because they use CONECUH SAUSAGE! I am not from here, but that is awesome sausage!! I can’t remember the owner’s names, but that is ok.
