My boyfriend and I found this place for lunch. They're open from 11:00 till 2:30 in the afternoon serving lunch. Had a Blackboard full of good old Southern Comfort food. I ordered the hamburger steak with grilled onions mashed potatoes and Black Eyed Peas. It came with some Mexican cornbread but it was rather dry. We prefer ours a little moist and sweet. Do they think we won't notice that'it's a double whammy for us and a tricky profit for them. Not so at Cheryl's Cafe!!! This diner of delight has continued serving their best of the best to its patrons...and we notice!! Read moreMy husband and I had lunch at Cheryls Cafe two weeks ago. He had the chicken and dumplings and I had the hamburger steak. We both had the speckled butter beans and squash casserole for sides. The chicken and dumplings are obviously homemade and would recommend. Hamburger steak is also delicious, with dark gravy. Happily none of the food is overly salty as in almost all restaurant food; everything tasted perfectly seasoned and homemade. Service was efficient and friendly.
