Question for anyone? It has been 4 weeks now. It took The Nugget 3 weeks to call and speak with me. But they haven't responded to my report of what happened. This is what happened you tell me what would you expect or want? We arrived at hotel 12/23 our son lives in Reno now. We have never stayed here but did see Matchbox 20 at Event Center over summer. Checked in went to Chophouse for appetizers and drinks. Also made reservation for 4 for our last night here taking my son and his friend to dinner as a Xmas present. Skied at Palisades and tubing. Great day. 4:30ish back at hotel to shower and rest a bit for dinner at 7pm. Decided to get a drink from chophouse to go to take back to room and relax a bit. Manager of chophouse was over the top happy. A little strange but we blew it off. To much to explain here. We return to chophouse for dinner. Waiting for son & friend to arrive I let hostess know. Hostess says just let her know when we are ready. Great. When I go to tell hostess we are ready manager was there. Now if looks could kill I'd be dead. I have no clue why. I'm just so happy and relaxed. Great day, great Xmas. Now dinner with my son my cup is full. We get tableside smoked Manhattan lovely. Appetizers, soup, salad. Then Manager. Comes to me says. My behavior is offensive! She has had several complaints I can not talk like that! I'm shocked, my husband, son and his friend at a loss for words. I finally say wait a minute, what did I say? Manager states, looking right at me close. You know what you said everybody heard you! Now the dinner cart is behind her they have our dinner. She just walks away. They are putting food down I am sitting there kinda shaking thinking what just happened. Now I will say we are a loud family. We are those people that can speak to a crowd with no microphone...lol....we know this. If the real problem was we were loud why not try telling us that first. We know it. We are very sensitive to it if told. We immediately apologize and we do try but we laugh loud its hard not to when filled with joy. I went to desk and asked what I had said or done also asked if she remembered me from earlier when she loved me. She lost it. Threw her arms up said can't handle this. Maybe off her meds or took to many no clue. I am pretty upset. Oh before I ever went and asked what I did hotel security was at desk also. So it really felt like I was being accused of wrong doing but never told what I did. I decided to go speak with front desk. Also upset thought it would be better to get some air and calm down. I smoke but felt like going outside to calm, breath, and smoke. Its really hot in Casino. Mind you: my entire meal and a 13.00 drink is at my seat. My husband, son and friend all still at table. The two security people follow me. One approaches me. I now ask why are you following me? She asks me to return to restaurant. I say no I already said I was going to speak with the front desk. They are just staring at me. I say, do you think I am trying to skip out on my bill? You know I am also staying in this hotel which is why I want to speak with front desk? Seriously my husband etc....and she says yes it happens. I'm still smoking now want another. I open my purse get my credit card hand it to her. Say take please leave me alone now. She asks me to come with her. I said no I am going to front desk give my card to my husband this is ridiculous. Guess what: My husband said they wanted dessert he was told no. Bill paid here is your wife's credit card you have to leave. They boxed my meal. Which was left in a luke warm hotel fridge. I did not eat it. A full drink was left on table.Since they charged us full price for everything! It took 3 weeks before hearing from the Nugget. I tell this story they follow up with receipts and say nothing!! I still unaware what offensive thing I said to my husband and kids when we were so happy????I think this entire facility needs better management. If offered my meal & drink. I only wanted waiter...

After about 4 trips to Anthony's Chophouse, I can't recommend this place. It's not all bad here, some of the food is delicious, but multiple times I've had issues with the food here.

I have only ever come here on Weekdays, but in my opinion, a restaurant should be able to execute any day of the week.

Service: Each time I've gone, the service has been slow. Everyone is friendly and pleasant, but most of the time, it takes a while for entrees to come out (30-45 minutes after appetizer). On our last trip, the food came out lukewarm in the middle and cold on the outside. We had been waiting, so we ate the food still, but it was clear it had just been left out.

Honesty with Food/Menu: This is my biggest gripe... Two items really stand out:

Tuna Tower (appetizer): Anthony's Chophouse describes it as Avocado, Unagi, Toasted Sesame Oil, Wonton Chips (taken right from their menu on their website). Immediately after getting this appetizer, we asked why there was no unagi (freshwater eel). Our server said he would find out the issue and came back and told us it was the sauce. Sorry, this is not an acceptable answer. I'd rather of heard the truth (they forgot, they are out of unagi, etc.). Instead, we get a fabrication that makes no sense.

Steaks: There are two things happening here, either the kitchen has no idea about the difference in cuts of meat OR they are trying to save money by serving other cuts. They list a "Rib Eye Bone in 18 oz" under Prime Cuts, and after ordering this, it was NOT a prime cut. The steak I received was grainy, lacked marbling, and was very tough. The server insisted this was USDA Prime; however, I've never experienced any Prime cut like this. This was USDA select at best.

Desserts/Soups: We've eaten at multiple restaurants at the nugget and when it comes to desserts and soups they appear to be the exact same food you'll get at the Oyster bar and other restaurants. Just don't be shocked that you're paying more for the same exact item they're serving elsewhere in the casino.

Then we get to the 'manager', I put the title in quotes because they'll never come around and ask how your meal is. They walk around the resturaunt and talk to the servers but are completely out of touch with the customers.

If you do come here, the best thing I've had to eat so far was the Shrimp Fra Diavolo which was delicious. That said, there is no way I'd recommend Anthony's until there is some honesty from the kitchen and some accountability from...

I had dinner here last night with my 3 kids, service was great throughout the entire visit from front, to support to server. We ordered a variety of dishes:

Acqua Panna (bottled still water) Seafood Bounty (seafood tower) Cesar Salad NY Strip Filet Green Peppercorn Sauce Chimmichurri Sauce Salmon Fries Mac n Cheese Mashed Potatoes Glass of Artemis Cab

Seafood Bounty (seafood tower) - menu says enough for 2, but you can easily get stuffed for 2 people on Appetizer and bread. I recommend this tower for 4 adults to enjoy some light seafood. Wish the platter was decorated more pretty or spread onto one large platter, but it worked out fine. Cesar Salad - small portion, wasn't great, the lettuce didn't feel very crisp and croutons seemed more like various crumbles but decent. Dressing didn't taste fresh though NY Strip - perfectly seasoned steaks here, perfect cooked medium, NY strip is an in-between cut so you get a cross between rich and juicy as well as lean with a strip of fat (I enjoy) Filet - very very tender. Enjoyed this cut here very much Green peppercorn Sauce - tasted like a standard au poivre peppercorn style sauce Chimmichurri Sauce- theirs is blended, I expected chopped chimmichurri, it was fine, but I prefer mine chopped Salmon - tender and delicious, my kids loved it Fries - fresh cut....soooooo good, perfectly seasoned Mac n Cheese - small portion, super delicious and good amount of sauce Mashed Potatoes - simple mashed, needed more cream and butter, it was quite stiff and slightly more dry than I prefer, I like fluffy smooth mashed potatoes Glass of Artemis Cab - enjoyed this cab, nice balance, not dry at all, went well with food!

Overall I was very pleased that they had this kind of steak house in the nugget, great food, clean plating, great service, fancy, romantic, pretty, modern ambience. Great spot for anniversaries, special occasions, I saw some private dining rooms too.

They have a really nice selection of wine. If I were dining with adults I would've definitely ordered a bottle or two. I highly recommend it. They also serve bread and butter with dinner too! They have highchairs and booster seats available and have a cute open bar/waiting area.

They're located downstairs from the main level, there are escalators that lead down. I also saw that they offer winery food pairing events. I wish I lived in Reno to enjoy this. Definitely a must visit spot for food and wine lovers!

Great price point for steakhouse food, wine, service,...

When you first take the escalator down it Is a stunning view. You are greeted right away. We got there a bit early but we we're seated immediately. The hostess told us who our waiter was and told us to have a great dinner. Thomas came over and filled our water glasses and introduced himself and made sure we had everything we needed. Johnathan our waiter came over and got us drinks and took our order he made eye contact and made sure we understood the menu and let us know what was the best! The bread basket comes out warm with an assortment of delicious breads. I ordered the duck duo with fig sauce and glazed walnuts with clam chowder and lobster mac and cheese. The duck was ok. You could barely taste the fig sauce and there were no glazed walnuts on my plate. The clam chowder and the lobster mac were delicious and a must try. The lobster mac and cheese was not only creamy it was also savory and just a perfect mix of flavors. It's a must try! My hubby ordered the red bird chicken with side salad and blue cheese dressing. The chicken was dry. But the salad had amazing blue cheese crumbles that just melt in your mouth and make your taste buds go wild! For dessert we shared the mousse trio charcuterie board. It was to die for the flavor mixtures were spot on. The only thing was the cheese the brie was delicious but the other cheese needs to go replace it with something better. Thomas was on top of taking our empty dishes right away and refilling our waters. He was so sweet. Let's talk liquor my hubby ordered the old fashion it was mostly whiskey. When you make an old fashion you want to have a sweet yet tart flavor. This was lacking. The mangotini was interesting the mango puree kept separating from the liquor and there seemed to be a crazy amount of sugar at the bottom. It was ok but not a noteworthy drink. Lastly I ordered a raspberry drink it was gross but hubby liked it so hey. This is a great place for a date night out. It sets a beautiful mood and you feel spoiled!
