Our experience tonight (Friday night) was less than ideal. We walked in as a group of 10 around 7:30pm and to our surprise, only one other couple was already axe throwing. We all ordered soft drinks, some pretzels, chicken tenders and a pizza. It took nearly half an hour or so for the pizza to come out and when it did, it was wrong. The bartender (who took our orders) took it and threw it away. It took about another 30 minutes to get the right one. While still waiting for the rest of our food, we had to ask the second employee (who we only saw briefly once) to give us the safety presentation so at least we could throw while waiting. There were 8 of us throwing and no one else there so we assumed we could take 4 boards. The bartender (who was apparently management according to the other employee) told us we could only use 2. We’re inexperienced and tried to play games to 21 but it was taking too long and others weren’t going to get a turn within the one hour we booked. Essentially, we all got to throw the axe about 10 times for $25. Why wouldn’t we be able to use the EMPTY targets next to us? After our hour was up, our food STILL wasn’t done. We had been waiting for nearly an hour and a half for frozen chicken tenders and fries. We didn’t even receive all our food before asking for refunds because it was going to be another 20-30 minutes he said to get the rest of our order. Keep in mind, WE WERE THE ONLY GROUP THERE. I have no idea what happened. We weren’t rude and not trying to be mean with this review but just like WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED lol. Needless to say, we will not...
Read moreDate night and decided to try out some Axe throwing and room smashing. Local business in Sparks who had just opened and they definitely did not disappoint. The place itself is beautiful - rustic looking burnt wood with galvanized sheet metal and iron accent piping. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and couldn’t wait to get us started. We hit the smash room first. Geared up from head to toe was the right amount of protection because the objects really do go flying. I felt completely safe in what they gave us to wear. The room was ours with a smorgasbord of all things worthy of smashing from dishes and glasses to electronics and other random items. We had our choice from using sledge hammers, baseball bats, crow bars and huge wrenches. After a long shelter in place, this was beyond therapeutic and much more fun then I thought it would be. We then spent quite a bit of time on the Axe boards. They have amazing staff to help you in any way with form and technique. By the time we were 1/2 way through, both of us where able to throw and make the axe stick, some even hit the bullseye a few times! I’m pretty much addicted to axe throwing now and I’m very interested in the upcoming league play. If you want to have fun with friends or lovers, I highly recommend A Smashing Good Time. Fun and unique night out and can’t wait to...
Read moreCool location and family run, great couple that were very friendly and welcoming. Very safety aware and plenty of stuff to break. Nice set up but I would suggest to them to improve their business investing in a dvd burner or a flash drive system to record clients time in the room w plugged in audio so the sound quality is better as well as video and offer this to the customer of course for a separate price. They do send u pics and video for free which is cool but they are using g their personal phone taking video and pics from a TV screen out in the waiting room? Just sayn I wouldn't mind paying a Lil more to have a keepsake that captured the moment better and definitely dubbed over audio. Maybe even do some editing w slow motion parts or effects for the video. Just a suggestion. Other than that it was a great experience, got alot of aggression out, nice workout, slept like a...
