Unprofessional staff. Poor management.
I just moved to the Sparks area recently and was glad to discover there was a coffee shop within walking distance. After visiting three times, however, I will not be returning.
The last time I visited, I and a couple behind me were the only customers, so it was not busy. I ordered one simple drink and then went to wait in the area by the delivery counter which, to my understanding, is the process of all the Starbucks I have ever visited. The couple behind me ordered and also came over to the delivery area to wait for their drinks. They received their drinks relatively quickly while I was still waiting. I waited a couple of minutes then asked the manager if my drink had been started. She abruptly pointed (as if annoyed) to my drink which was sitting between the two cash registers and stated "it's over there."
I don't know why they bothered to ask for my name if they were not going to call out to let me know the drink was ready. I have no idea why they would place my drink between the cash registers instead of the delivery area as they do for everyone else. A couple of the employees saw me waiting and did not bother to even let me know the drink was ready. Again, at that point I was the only customer there so it was not busy.
I believe the problem with employees (especially at this location) is that they simply do not care about very basic customer service, which is really just basic common courtesy. I am certainly not going to spend my hard-earned money there if they are going to be careless and annoyed at my presence. I know that Starbucks is not going to care or notice that I stopped patronizing their store, but it is a shame they take our money for granted as if they are doing us a favor by being there.
This is a poorly run location with terrible hours, especially considering it is in a 24-hours casino. The employees are lethargic and thoughtless, which is most likely a reflection of the...
Read moreI had been coming to Starbucks throughout my stay at this hotel and everything was okay the first few times. Most of the times I payed with card but this one time I decided to pay with cash and that was when I was informed by the employee that they had a coin shortage and I was like okay thats fine. My total for one drink was 9.80 and my change back was supposed to be 0.20 cents and when the employee didn't find those 0.20 cents in the cash register. That's when she took the tip box and slammed it down on to the cashier box flinging the 3 dollar bills in there onto the register. That is when she started looking for 0.20 cents from inside the tip box but with some sort of anger and frustration. At the end I ended up telling her to keep my 0.20 cents because of how angered she seemed. I get its frustrating to take out from your own tip but you also shouldn't reflect those negative feelings onto the customer and work you do just because you could not find 0.20 cents in the register. I personally think the prices are also too...
Read moreI ordered four drinks for myself and three coworkers. What was brought was a hot mess, and only two drinks had "extras" that were quite simple.
Issue 1: NONE of these drinks have labels. Each Starbucks that I've been to has labels to confirm time purchased and what each drink contains. Food allergies are a real thing. So is lactose intolerance.
Two: I have the order right here: One tall Iced Caramel Mac. You sent a Venti, and there was literally a dollop of whip creme, when the coworker in question put in for extra, it didn't even touch the brim.... which is what every other Starbucks does.
Three: My coworker who specified coconut milk, got a regular milk drink and cannot drink it.
Get it together....
