Plaza Mexico — Restaurant in Spencer

Wish I could give a better review. Food was decent when we got it and when we were able to order it did not take long to get. And people that were walking around were friendly but we dont know who they are. We arrived at lunchtime on a Saturday, parking lot is in need of some work. When we walked in there was no one to seat us so we were just standing there for a bit. Finally someone came to sit us and put us in an area no one was in and wasnt dark but seemed like all the lights were not turned on. About 15 minutes later they sat someone else in our area and turned on more lights. Someone finally came to take our drink order, half hour after we walked into door. After another 15 minutes came to take our food order. When we actually got our food was almost an hour after we walked into door. Kids running around all over place the entire time we were there carrying food and everything. Lady and kid who brought our food was not who took our order but thats ok, just not sure what health department would thing of a maybe 5 year old bringing food. Not a single refill offered and even after we were done eating a ticket was never brought. We had to go to register to get our ticket. Again no complaints on food itself or time to get after we made our order. But from moment we got there until we left was at Plaza Mexico for an hour and a half and our actual food time from ordering to finished eating was 30...

We. My girl and I out for 2 year anniversary and she had never been to Plaza Mexico prior to this evening. On arrival we ordered 2 margaritas. They arrived and presented nicely except no powderedsugar on her strawberry margarita, but tastes great. We thoroughly checked menu and decided which dishes to enjoy and I wanted to wash my hands before I eat. I got up to use the restaurants restroom. I answered the call of nature and went to the sink... Turned on the water and then reached out to soap dispenser....1 pump nothing 2 more pumps nothing... 1, 2, 3, 4 pumps and nothing.. Returning to the table I said to the hottie at table with me. We are not going to eat here, she thought I was crazy.... but I got check for drinks...

I always come here for my Mexican comfort food, and getting their white queso cheese is phenomenal it never lets me down, and paired with the plaza Mexico special, the shrimp, the mushrooms, and the rice and beans it's just utterly delightful, and they have always stayed under 45$ for a great portion and very nice environment, I absolutely love taking my wife here and she is in love with the place too! If there was a 10 star review they'd be receiving it! But I brought my in-laws there (8 total) I think they loved it as well being from Ohio and visiting Iowa, I was very happy and glad I got to share my experience of my favorite restaurant with...
