Badass Backyard Brewing — Restaurant in Spokane Valley

Went with a few friends and we shared a full flight of their beers. We were all in agreement that there was something "off" about nearly every beer we tried and not in a "quirky style" type of way. Some were soapy, some were undrinkable with a chemical aftertaste, and some were just downright bad-tasting beers. I have to hope that we were victim of a bad batch, a bad yeast strain, or some other explanation, because I otherwise cannot understand how this place has good reviews. The best beer was in a style I hate the most - habanero - and that was because it tasted nothing like a spice beer.

I happened to stop in while traveling through and this place was amazing. From the moment you walk in you are treated as if you're a regular. The personal service was amazing and got all the patrons interacting. There is a beer club with a long waiting list that let's you have your own mug on the wall. I'm considering quitting my job to relocate and get me one of those mugs. Seriously Spokane, you gotta come check this out. This place is legit! Built from the ground up from the vision, ambition and sheer drive of the owner/brewer. It has a modern industrial feel that is accentuated by the use of recycled materials. The clientele consists of many regulars who are very laid back, easy going and always welcoming to new patrons.
