honestly decent selection, i like that they post much of their available singles onto their TCGplayer storefront i have made a few orders through here, each time is a mixed bag picking up the cards is the only human interaction & should be scrutinized from a management perspective of X orders, i have not been allowed to check their work before purchase once that is to say, you pick cards from their website, their staff will package them for you to pickup but they dont give you any opportunity to make sure they picked out the right cards/prints/foils/condition etc
this needs to be addressed- customers should have fair chance to check whether they are collecting the properly requested products
secondary things include -large male staff member aggressive. why? (not intimidating, just rude/impolite to paying customers) -atrocious trade in values. do not sell here lol -clearly incorrect calls, saying some cards' prices are "too volatile". youd actually have to have no understanding of commerce (let alone mtg) to think this is a reasonable thing to tell someone, in a store that advertizes trade-ins. bare minimum you should at least make an offer, even if the patron declines
while in the store, on two seperate occasions, i witnessed two different customers complain about the staff AND the trade pricing at the same time
but! its also important to call out my good experiences too
respectfully, im unsure of their pronouns but there is a blonde person working the front desk occasionally. this person has been 10/10 polite EVERY time & i think the other staff could learn from this person's general demeanor. keep it up!!
also i do want to stress they deserve some real credit for having online orders ready generally quickly. idk which staff members are responisble for that but kudos are due to whomever!
TLDR; This store has a great selection but poor trade in values & the staff...
Read moreI've been to a couple tournaments now and they're always pretty poorly managed, with some people just leaving midway through or giving bad rulings. Even not properly explaining rules to new people, leaving them to fend for themselves, though the community here is pretty chill. But the last straw was with their trade in process. Took some cards in to sell. After taking nearly 2 days to value them, they offered $154 cash and $250 store credit. The cards were valued by multiple other places, asking $400+ cash value. When I asked, they basically told me that they only take the lowest number and go off of that. They also damaged multiple cards, including scratching a card down to the foil layer, and opening two sealed promo cards, cutting the value down on those cards. When confronted, they said this was all on the website, but no where does it say they will open anything sealed. They offered no solutions for the damaged card or the now opened promo cards. This took my collection that I gave them from being valued at $752 dollars(based on market data of what the cards are selling for) to only about $400. I also have to have the cards reappraised as the condition of most of them have changed, with scuffs and scrapes now...
Read moreFirst walked in after moving to Spokane from Western Washington when I needed a new local ProAcryl paint supplier for my Warhammer addiction. Have been a loyal customer ever since. People underestimate the immense effort it takes for an LGS to be able to remain open in 2025-- especially with the depth and breadth of on-point, in-demand, in-store product and constant rapid response to customer needs/market demands that Dragon Parlor continues to maintain.
While it is true you can order almost anything you need online these days, you can't get immediate, on-demand product availability, you often have find great difficulty with having anything shipped at a reasonable price and in a reasonable time period, and when you order online, you also lose the opportunity to have random, chance encounters with other gamers and spend 5-10 minutes geeking out with them about a mutual hobby passion.
Finally, I would like to mention that if you are looking for any kind of information or assistance with respect to Magic, speak to Alex. Although naturally a quiet individual, he is an absolute pro, a fount of knowledge, and will take all the time you need to explain to you whatever it is you need to know. A+...
