4.25.24: I was craving authentic Mexican food and my friend suggested this place. We live out in the sticks and drove an hour to town for dinner. When we walked in, there was a cool little fish pond. We were greeted and sat down immediately. It was dinner time and seemed to get busier as the evening went on. Our server was friendly and gave us chips and salsa while we ordered and waited for our drinks. I went with the fish tacos and my friend got the enchilada meal.

My fish tacos were fresh and delicious and was given a decent proportion of fish to tortilla ratio. It's always disappointing when you order fish tacos and the majority of the taste is tortilla and toppings. The fish was grilled perfectly and still moist and had great flavor--not the overwhelming flavor of just seasonings that I've experienced a handful of times over the years. The chipotle sauce they used was lite and flavorful and paired well with the fish. My favorite, when eating Mexican food, is the usual combo side of beans and rice. The refried beans were hot and the cheese topping blended nicely. The Spanish rice always goes well with any Mexican dish and mixing the rice and beans makes for a yummy bite.

Service was great and our server promptly refilled drinks and even offered us more chips and salsa. Overall, I'm pleased with my first visit and felt it was very authentic. I definitely will come back to try more of...

Terrible service. Not overly friendly from the get go but oh well. My bf orders shrimp tacos with no pico de gallo and it comes back with sautéed onions and tomatoes. We go back and look on the menu to see how we missed that on there but no where on the menu it says onions and tomato’s. He kindly calls over the waitress and asks if there’s anyway it can be fixed and that he doesn’t like onions and tomatoes and that’s why he asked for no pico and she goes on to scold us about how we ordered wrong and what pico actually is, instead of offering to fix the meal right away. Making us feel like we were somehow wrong even though the cook added on something that wasn’t even on the menu. After she leaves my bf found a small black hair in his taco and then She comes back again with a bowl of pico and says “see this is what pico looks like not that” I began to feel very upset and disrespected so I told her we didnt want to say anything at all but onions make him feel sick and that we just wanted our checks. At this point I was shaky and couldn’t even finish my meal. Never going back I’ve never been treated...

This was our second visit to this establishment. We placed our orders and our waiter promptly forgot to bring us the beans we had ordered to go with our chips and salsa. I reminded him and he promptly brought it to us. When our entrees came they were both wrong. My wife ordered 3 enchiladas, 2 chicken, 1 cheese. She received 3 chicken, and they were swimming in enchilada sauce. You could even taste the meat. As for my order, I received a chimichanga instead of a burrito. And the cheese sauce on it was nothing more than melted velveta. My wife ate very little of her order. I choked down as much of mine as I could. My wife left and waited in the car. Finally 10 minutes later I finally saw our waiter again. He asked if I want to take any of it to go to which I said no and asked for the check. I was really disappointed that after seeing how much of our dinners were uneaten, he didn't ask how the food was. This experience was the polar opposite of our first time here. We...

Same old song and dance for this location on Sprague. It's been an Hispanic resto of varying owners/names for over 30 years. I blame the kitchen equipment, haha. Honestly, the place is cavernous, and when it's for the most part--empty--at the height of lunch time, it's not a memorable experience. And sports on TV with no volume, and no other ambient music made it feel kinda somber. I should have asked for it to be turned up, so that's on me. Folks running the joint (currently) were all nice, and the whole place was spotless. Food was standard Mex-Amer, and prepared adequately with decent flavors. This place might be quite hoppin' in the evenings, so my lunch-time assessment should be taken in context...

First timers, and it was great! The salsa was super spicy (and I love spice!), but too much our daughter couldn't eat it. The beers were $5 for a pint of IPA and $8 for 22 oz, which is really good. Our daughter got their 3 enchalidas and liked the red and cream sauce, but not the Verde. Husband thought it was good though. The pork carnitas were tasty, but the chunks of pork were too big so they needed to be cut before eating. Husband ordered the mixiotes, which we has never heard of. It was like stew (chunk of pork, 2 ribs, potatoes, and one carrot) served in a parchment paper bag with rice, kidney beans, lettuce, and corn tortillas. He said he would definitely order it again. Service was excellent!
