10/30/21 This location gave me the absolute worst service and food experience I've ever had in my life from any fast food establishment!!!!! I'm not exaggerating when I say it took just under an hour to finish and finally get a refund after this terribleexperience!!! The two young men working were the only two for starters, which didn't seem like a big deal only if you're fast enough too handle the capacity of paying customers. After I waited for about 15 minutes (the first go round) my food arrived. Being that I was staying at the hospital directly behind the place, because I just had a baby a few hours prior to my visit at Carl's, I was in a great mood and very hungry! Fast forward; got my food paid $15 and change for a double western that was thrown together amd made incorrectly and half a box of crisscut fries. Now, after leaving and pulling back into the hospital parking garage, I open the bag the food which I just described, so then began driving right back to get my food fixed. The young man who took my order explained to me that he "misunderstood" my order and would fix it. I agree to it. As I pull forward and wait at least another 20-25 minutes for food(noticing the car in front of me had the same problem) I begin to get upset wondering what could possibly take this long...still I wait because I'm starving. The same guy who took my order and came out with a new bag, containing the second set of fries that I paid for(so I wouldn't have cold fries) and a single, greasy, wet burger patty IN A BOX!!!!! No new sandwich just a patty to add to my already cold burger that I paid for. Needless to say that was it for me. So I pulled back around as asked and waited through a few cars to finally reach the window and have this unprofessional no customer skills having young man fumble for another 5-10 coming back and forth to find my order. Finally returning my money...I went next door too Atilanos when I really wanted my double burger from Carl's!!!! Do yourself a favor steer clear of the night shift here smh. As a Culinarian and Chef, I understand busy and mess ups...not inconsideration and unprofessional food handlers who could care less about the business...
Read moreMy 95 years old mother is not doing well in Deaconess Hospital (Sunday Dec 11th) and was having a difficult time eating. She had one wish which was a Strawberry Milkshake. So I walked to Carls Jr. on 3rd Ave. to get her one. Signs on the locked doors said the dine in option wasn’t available due to staffing shortages however I could see 2 of their employees eating their own lunch inside the restaurant. There were no cars at the drive through so I walked up to the ordering place but couldn’t get any response. So I walked up to the window where drive through customers pay and one of the employees opened the window. I tried to order a shake and was told “I ‘m sorry sir but I can’t take orders at the pay window from walk up customers.” I offered to walk back to the drive through and order from the speaker and was told that I can’t do that on foot. I could only be served if I was in a car. Explaining that I walked down from the hospital and that my ill mothers only wish was a strawberry shake didn’t seem to help the situation. Figuring this must be some sort of security policy I put a $10 bill on the pay window shelf and told the clerk “How about you make the shake, put it on the shelf outside, take the $10 and close the window. I don’t even need any change and while you do this I’ll stand all the way across the parking lot for your safety.” He once again apologizes for not being able to serve me. Keep in mind the window was open this entire time. I fully understand policy but I think this situation was not handled well and short staffing needs to be able to make an informed decision in a very non threatening situation. Carls Jr. you have tainted my opinion of your...
Read moreI waited 20 minutes at the counter for my order and I was the only person in the dining room. After the cashier took my order, she disappeared. When I went up to the counter no one in the back would acknowledge my presence. The cashier was slowly building drive-through orders and gossiping loudly with the other workers and using crude language. At the 20 minute mark of my wait, she told another worker that the dining room order was ready and I was handed my tray through the side entrance to the kitchen. The food was cold, but the dining room was like a sauna as there was no a/c. As I sat down to eat, there was a commotion at the drive-through as the loud worker started screaming at the customer to get the F out of line and not to F-ing ever come back. The customer pulled his vehicle up to the east side of the building, jumped out and started, pulling on the locked door closest to him. He then returned to his vehicle, and as he drove away, the worker was yelling at him to never come back and telling him that he needed to get "mental help". The dining room smelled like the toilet had overflowed, and it appeared that the drink station hadn’t been wiped down in a while because the stainless steel trim was all dirty. How can the owner tolerate such poor behavior? Is this type of service the standard at this location? The owner needs to clean up the staff as well as...
