Walk in your store for first experience at Jersey Mike’s!
One customer is in the store and is being helped. She is standing in front of the sandwich table display that is very small. So with her being in the middle, it was hard to tell where the line started or ended. I lingered by the door and eating area until the lady was finished. And there was room for me to proceed. That was my idea anyway.
As I’m standing the employee who I am, assuming is also the manager yells to me “ are you here for pick up” and I replied “no”. Hello to you as well but moving forward. She then asked me if “I’m here to order” I replied, “yes” . I wonder what the third option was?
Now that we establish that I wanted food at the food establishment I went back to standing . waiting for my actual turn because let me remind you she is helping a customer already. I didn’t feel she was ready for me. To my surprise, she ushered me over to take my order and I had to step in front of the lady that was being helped and tell her excuse me while I stand there. Which I was already doing prior.
I eventually find the hidden menu with no help from this what seems so helpful manager. I go over it and decide I want the tuna. She replies with “there is no more Tuna “and to my surprise she even says “sorry for that”.
The manners unfortunately gets cancelled out not even a minute later when she asks me if I figured out what I wanted giving me no time to pick a second option. This being my first time I remind you ?! Alllllll While still helping the lady in front of her !!!! I pick the turkey club.
“Do you have avocado spread” ? She replied with “no”
She asks me “if I want white bread” ? I replied with “Oh I didn’t know you had option” . I Go try and find the bread options because your manager doesn’t know how to assist and filter out customers.
After not seeing any bread displays like subway or jimmy johns I asked her if is she “had sliced wheat” ? She replied with, “sliced meat? Yea we have sliced meat you see me cutting it “
😑🙃 yea I see the meat your slicing for the customer your ALREADY helping while trying to help me. Probably why we are not in sync and you can’t hint that this is my first time or need guidance ordering.
Sliced wheat ! Wheat bread! Stewie Griffin pronouncing wheat inserted here.
She replied “ no “ . I then ask her what kind of bread do you got and she shows me the little tray of assorted breads and I choose the wheat.
My order is finally translated and I go back to my original spot where I was and sit down…. WHILE SHE STILL IS MAKING THE FIRST CUSTOMERS ORDER ! Proving my assumption that she wasn’t ready
She makes my sandwich a bit later and calls me over to do veggies and such and she asks me “ do you want it the mike way with lettuce, onion, etc ” or something like that.
I look at the tiny table and say “ is this all there is for toppings? If so I will just do tomato’s”
She replies “ so you only want tomatoes “? I reply “ yes, If that’s all you have ”
She replies with a puzzled and annoyed look on her face “ so you only want tomato’s “ ?
I look back with puzzled face 😑🙃
A New customer who walked in after me , also rushed and ushered over to this start to start line , Answers the question for me by nodding her head no.
The manger then asks again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! “ so only tomatoes ? “
I say yes walk off
I don’t know if she was judging me cause I look like a grease monkey working with cars but she did not want to help me.
I must be getting old but this youngsters attitude and customer service got to me. My first experience with Jersey Mike’s resulting in my first google review and unfortunately my first negative...
Read moreAlways like the food. Ordered online through the app was very easy. I did wait 20 min past the time it was meant to be ready. I should have been able to walk in at the designated time and collect my order from the table near the door. I went in at that time and was not greeted or acknowledge in any way. Looked to the table where pick up orders should be and my order was not there. I stepped near the counter facing 3 employees none of them addressing me so I stood back and let other people approach the counter, they were asked what the name on The order was and we're handed the order over the counter. I left and came back a few minutes later because too many people were stepping in. I stood outside waiting for my order to be placed on the table. After nearly 20 min past my scheduled pick up I went back in and still no acknowledgement Even after approaching the counter so I stood back again. A customer went to the counter and was asked the name on the order and again was handed the order. I could see a bag on the back counter and it turned out to be my bag and I found this out when I e of the employees picked it up and brought it to the table for people to pick up. I really felt invisible. Also asked for names on each sandwich and they only have numbers. I have to refer to the menu to sort out who ordered what. Not going to open a sandwich not meant for me to...
Read moreI am actually shocked by the way your employees treat Uber Eats Couriers. I waited for 30 minutes to pick up an order for a customer. The employees assured me they were working on the order, but they were not. I watched as they completed walk in orders instead of the Uber Eats customers order. If the app has called for a driver, the driver has 7 minutes to get to the restaurant. Once the driver arrives, they are only required to wait 10 minutes according to the Uber Eats policies. As an independent contractor for Uber, I would appreciate it if your employees were aware of the way the orders work. If a driver is already at your restaurant waiting for an order, walk-in customers should come second because you are already late completing the Uber order. If Uber Eats drivers have to wait an excessive amount of time, they lose money. I will no longer be waiting beyond 10 minutes. I usually wait longer to be courteous to the...
