I mean, it's MickeyD's, right? Tbh I hadn't had an ACTUAL full lunch from a McDonalds in ... going on 5 yrs. And for a reason, I was disappointed on my last visit because of the poor food. So I had waited 4 years before that visit 5 years ago!! I've been consistently disappointed by the fact that food just doesn't seem to BOND together. The glitter like covering of supremely shredded thin lettuce on the big Mac just floats above the thin, easily dissolved "burger" patty.
The bread feels like super thin melting Styrofoam blankets on your tongue that slides around your mouth as if coated in oil and even when in direct contact with sauce, never seem to absorb anything other than the slightest hint of the enjoyment of eating.
I added a double fish sandwich (I have always had a weird obsession with how good I seem to remember the McDonalds fish sandwich to be, after this visit, that fondness has been crushed). Although I ordered a double fish sandwich, the cheese ran away with the flavor on the 2nd patty and the hopeful delight I was expecting found a dry and tasteless breaded fish patty/filet and the same weird steamed but crusty bun thing I described above.
At least the Coke was able to wash it all down and I never have to satisfy my...
Read moreThis isn’t the first time I’ve had issues there, especially when they’re busy. When things get hectic, the staff often don’t pay attention to customizations in the order, and this has happened multiple times.
This time, I ordered a double beef burger. I made sure to customize it and selected no bacon, because I don’t eat pork for religious reasons. But when I got my order, it wasn’t even a double—it was just a regular burger. I told them, and they gave me a new one, but this time they added bacon.
When I told them again that I don’t eat bacon and I had asked for no bacon, they said, “Give it back, we’ll take it off.” I explained that even if they remove it, I still can’t eat it, because if any pork fat touches the food, it becomes forbidden for me.
Then they told me to wait off to the side instead of in line at the drive-thru. I waited all that time, got delayed, and it wasn’t even my fault. Still, I was the one who lost time and had to deal with the stress. In the end, I just gave them back the sandwich and said I didn’t want anything anymore.
It’s not fair that I had to suffer for...
Read moreWell. You know, McDonald's is McDonald's. The reason I give them a 5 star rating is because they are clean, the food is always hot off the grill, the staff is friendly no matter how busy, it's within walking distance of my house so in the winter when the roads are bad I can walk, I only have to wait a few minutes when the rush hour is happening, and even though the food probably isn't the best choice nutrition wise, it still is filling. And hot. My biggest complaint for 90% of the restaurants in Spokane is that the food is cold when it is served. At least here at McDonald's the food is fresh and it's hot off the grill. Thank you! And, the special combo ( I forgot what its called) with nuggets, a sandwhich, and fries is affordable for my limited budget. Even if I go just the read a book and drink a senior coffee, to get out of my house for awhile, it's a safe and busy but quiet atmosphere. If you understand what I mean. Thank you staff at this location. You guys do...
