We stopped in on a Saturday night, only one couple was at a table eating. The gal asked if it was our first time and I said yes. She pointed to the menu on the wall and said this is what they have. Not chatty or wanting to tell us more about the specials (we saw a sign coming in). I found two I wanted to try, so we decided on a dozen. After I said my two and my husband said the name of another, the gal asked if we are doing these individually. What? No explanation was given. Then he noticed at the bottom of the menu a 6-pack price and said we'd be getting 6 total. My name and phone number we put into the computer and we were told to wait. Okay. I saw cookies in the case by the register, so I figured they had them in the back. While standing there waiting, I could see partially in the back where they were frosting cookies. Looked like ones we had ordered. I am assuming they have the base ready and then load on the topping to order. We made it home before we popped the box open. I was happy to see everything we asked for was there - some places get it wrong. We'd been waiting to try this place since it opened. Excitedly we cut 1 cookie in half to try it. To our dismay the cookie was raw inside. A good 2-3 more minutes would be needed. Not wanting to toss a $4 cookie away we ate it. But later, we did not feel good at all!!! The next night we tried another (this time peanut butter) and the same issue. We do have two chocolate cookies left and am afraid. It might have been worth it, but each cookie so far has been lack-luster in taste. Maybe a little more salt or vanilla? It doesn't taste like anything, not shortbread, not a blonde, nothing. The frosting leaves a oil slick in the mouth and the Hershey syrup drizzle was a disappointment. Between the under cooked cookies, the lack of service and non-welcome vibe, for a high priced (non-wow) cookie, I am not sure we will be back. I'm glad we tried them. I'm glad we bought 6 and not 2. I'm fine with the 20% tip we gave. And I do hope that our experience...
Read moreThis was the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had. We were the first people to pay of about 10 people and were the last people served. My husband and I are people of color and had to wait 30+ minutes while our order was handed out incorrectly. Our names weren’t taken but other names were. Their orders were correct and timely. There was no apology for any inconvenience. Each individual didn’t know what order they were on and it was apparent it was very unorganized. I would hope that other people of color aren’t treated this way. The one who had corrected our order at least took the 1 minute to listen actively and try to correct the situation but there was still no acknowledgment. Also if the manager is going to suggest to nuke a frozen cookie for 15 seconds and call it good, you should probably not offer...
Read moreTo be upfront I am one who loves cookies, I bake all the time, however I believe that I’m probably just not in the market for this style of cookie. I’ve had their variety pack 2 times as gifts. The cookie is oily, dense, with and very undercooked pasty cookie dough quality and very sweet dominant to being one note. The frosting topping is the one component that adds good flavor regardless of which one you get. However I have to stress sweet despite risking repetition for the frosting. In the end, I wouldn’t eat them again, don’t recommend them, but I do know many like some of these qualities, so no judgment. I just want to give clear and honest feedback for those looking for something else. For those who love them, I do not understand you, but I’ll always eat a...
