A Dessert Lover’s Dream – Passion Fruit Perfection and French-Inspired Craftsmanship
Mi Flavour is hands down one of the best dessert spots I’ve visited—a true gem in Spokane that showcases artistry, flavor, and hospitality in every bite. I fell head over heels for their Passion Fruit Tart, which hit every note I was hoping for: ultra-creamy texture, a vibrant golden-yellow hue, and that just-right tartness you dream of in a passion fruit dessert. The crisp outer crust added a satisfying contrast, while the lightly charred cream topping brought an elegant, brûléed finish. It paired beautifully with black tea, though I imagine it would be just as stunning with a good cup of coffee.
Another standout was the Pistachio Rose Bergamot Cake, which had a unique flavor profile. While it wasn’t as memorable on its own for me as the tart, it melted beautifully when paired with hot tea, especially in small, delicate bites. The presentation was also worth noting—gorgeously decorated, making every dessert as visually appealing as it was delicious.
What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to ask about my flavor preferences and explain how each dessert would taste or differ—something I rarely experience at this level of attentiveness.
The seating is somewhat limited, so during peak weekend hours, you might have to wait outside. But trust me—it’s worth it. It’s no surprise Mi Flavour holds a stellar 4.7-star rating, and it more than lives up to its reputation.
What impressed me most was their commitment to making everything from scratch—a rarity these days—and the fact that their production quality rivals, if not exceeds, conventional methods. From their French-inspired desserts to the lovely bacon pastries, everything reflects care, precision, and true culinary passion.
If you’re in Spokane and love thoughtfully crafted desserts, Mi Flavour is a must-visit. I’ll absolutely be coming back—and next time, I’m...
Read moreAfter reading several raving reviews, I had to go see (taste) for myself. Wow! The reviews are all correct: beautiful, delicious food served in a spotlessly clean place with a chic vibe!
So far I have had the pistachio croissant, the pavlova, coffee, blueberry tea, and the raspberry roll. The girl that made my tea was about to set it in front of me, when she quickly apologized for it looking curdled then hurried off to remake it. What a good eye, I doubt I would have noticed! All the food is exceptionally good, but I can't rave enough about the raspberry roll frosting!! Food of the Gods! I haven't done it since I was a child, but I was tempted to LICK MY PLATE - seriously! What is this food that can unhinge you?! While there is so much more for me to try, I fear my every visit will have to now have a standard minimum of a raspberry roll.
My only less than complimentary comment is: As a dine-in customer, each visit I struggle to find parking. My most recent visit was around 3:30pm on a Friday and I DID notice (while I ate at the window bar) that most customers dashed in to pick up something to go; perhaps that is why before going I hadn't seen a single review warning me that there are just a handful of parking spaces. It won't stop me though! With food like that, I will return again and again! So many good food...
Read moreThis may just become the "Voodoo Donuts" of Spokane (referencing the hole-in-the-wall famous donut shop in Portland, Oregon). Except miFLAVOUR has way more taste and a lot more to taste! There is just something magical about this French inspired dessert shop... Oh, I guess that's called a patisserie. See, just going to this place makes you fancy. They had great tasting french desserts, great coffee (some specialty coffee to take home too!) and local honey! We sat and shared a dessert and enjoyed the bright pleasant atmosphere, which has just enough french influence that you'll want to say, "Bonjour" and curl the edges of your slim mustache just slightly. While we weren't given forks to eat our desserts (assumed we were take-out?), I'm not deducting a single star. They probably could dump coffee on my lap and I'd still give it five starts because of how fun it was. Finally a place that serves coffee indoors after like 6pm. Maybe I'm so excited because COVID-19 has prevented us from eating out for nearly a year, but I still think it's that cool. Now I'm off to find some skinny black jeans, a button up polka dotted shirt, and thicker rimmed glasses without the lenses to join miFLAVOUR and their french dessert...
