Park Bench Cafe — Restaurant in Spokane

Took my kids here for an ice cream at manito Park. The prices are insane! 6 bucks for a kid cone of Ben and Jerry's ice cream. 4 dollars for a bottle of coke zero. 5 bucks for an arnold palmer tea! Those are like 1 dollar plus tax. The cones are so small, but then the ice cream barely fit in the cone. The service seems good Girl was patient and nice. That's why I gave it 2 stars and not one. However we spent 30 dollars on 3 small cones and 2 sodas. Pete bellas has tons of flavors of ice cream and huge cones for the same price. I'm not sure why they are charging so much for Ben and Jerry's ice cream that's 4.50 for an entire pint of ice cream. I don't know. then it asks for a tip. A tip for what? For running my card...... 🤪 just no nononononononononononono no thank...

on the expensive side, we ordered a salad, coffee and a kids sandwich. It came out to be $22+. The kids sandwich was a single slice of kraft cheese, 2 slices of turkey, and a little lettuce on wheat bread with a side of chips. The kids meal did come with a "free" cone, so that was a decent thing.

The salad had a grand total of 3 pieces of sliced chicken, none of the advertised grapes or apples and a tiny container of dressing. The lettuce was kind of floppy but had some crunch for the most part. I feel like the just aggressively mix it at the beginning of the day therefore breaking the leaves and loosing its crunch.

The coffee was pretty good though.

For a Cafe that sits near the center of the park, I'm not surprised at the prices but I am surprised at the...

A disappointing Park Bench since it changed hands. Manito Park deserves SO MUCH BETTER!!! very small amount of menu choices with nothing but a "so so" expensive fruit cup. We had to return coffee order and clarify fruit cup vs parfait to clerk taking order . My sandwich was good. We had to ask for water, came warm without ice. Worst was the staff talking very loudly and very negatively about customers they had during their shift or season working there. Not a place i will count on for good food and service. What a shame. Where is the leadership and training component to make this place shine. Also surprised at the amount of plastic used without recycling containers. What a waste. What a crying shame.
