The space that the Little Euro is housed has undergone a much-needed refresh, moving away from its dated, veteran feel to a brighter, modern interior. The new hardware and design choices create a lovely, aesthetically pleasing ambiance, which makes for a welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food and service left much to be desired.
We ordered "eggs your way" with toast and the standard eggs Benedict. Both dishes arrived with hash browns that were unacceptably soggy, unseasoned, and bland. They were simply not enjoyable. The eggs Benedict itself was prepared in a standard manner, but the proportions felt oddly off. There was too much ham relative to the English muffin, making the dish feel unbalanced. I ended up removing some of the ham to experience a more typical ratio, which is difficult to describe since the portion size wasn’t too large – just disproportionate.
Additionally, service felt disjointed. We placed multiple orders, but the Aebleskivers we requested early on arrived after our entrées. This mix-up between the server and kitchen made the overall experience feel like the restaurant is still ironing out operational kinks. The transition between courses was bumpy and lacked the seamlessness one expects.
While the atmosphere is delightful and holds promise, the lackluster food quality and inconsistent service need attention before Little Euro can become a go-to...
Read moreI was so thrilled about a new breakfast place on the hill, especially one that feels very fancy and special in the renovated space with a good menu. I've been twice and now I think I've had my fill.
On our first visit our abelskivers came out when we had already finished our meals, and on the second visit for my birthday I had the croissant sandwich -- $18 for bacon, eggs, and cheese on a stale croissant that I couldn't finish because it was so hard. We also only spoke to our waitress to take our orders and get our check, she didn't come by any other time and a runner brought our food and just set it down and left. Maybe because we were at the bar? Our waitress was so so kind and bubbly but seemed very overwhelmed. I had to get up to sneak behind the bar for ketchup since we couldn't even flag anyone down. I think there's not enough service staff or something?
Anyway, for how much they charge I didn't think the meal and service were quite on par. I feel for restaurants that try and set up in Spokane because they have to charge so much but I just can't afford their prices plus tip for a meal that comes with bad service and arrives very slowly from the kitchen. I will happily retry this spot in a few months and hopefully management have ironed out the...
Read moreI usually have a better experience than this but the service seems to be going promptly downhill. I waited in the lobby for almost 20 minutes before even being greeted, then get sat at the bartop even with plenty of tables available. Proceeded to order a chai latte, and got served a glass of watery cinnamon with a rubbery disk on top that was meant to be foam. That shouldn't have even made it out to the table, and instead of offering to fix it or communicating whatsoever, the server just ignored me for another 15 minutes. The food came out, and I was completely finished with it before the server hurriedly throws another chai onto the bartop, which was slightly better but still was more akin to warm milk than a chai latte. Still charged me for this even though it was clearly a wasted order. The food was still good, which is the only reason I could scrape up 2 stars for this review. You would think at such an established restaurant, your staff would recieve better...
