Perry Street Brewing is perhaps the vanguard fro mature beer recipes available anywhere in the Spokane, WA -- Coeur d'Alene, ID region.
Ben and Christy Lukes, the owners, have a nearly three year old brewery smack in the middle of the revitalizing Perry Street district (neighborhood) on the lower South Hill. At one their brewery fits right in, and snugly so, at the northeast corner of Perry Street and 11 Avenue on the lower Spokane South Hill.
As the master brewer, Ben Lukes produces perhaps the mast mature and true recipes I'd encountered through the Spokane Region (with nod to Slate Creek in Coeur d'Alene).
Lukes' recipes are mature and stand-up. No gimmicks. Yet specialty offering are available through the year as seasons of occasional.
A food truck is usually available just out in front as well as the light refreshment from the small kitchen compliments the brewed beverages.
I like the Kölsch and Northwest Pale best. All ales are filtered, unless noted otherwise. I also like the Milk...
Read moreI have gone to this place about four times now and have had similar experiences every time. The food is good, beer is alright (I know this part is slightly subjective), and atmosphere is nice. The reason why I am only giving this place two stars is because of the service. The last two times my friend and I went in, we had to go to the front counter to order our beers and food. The girls looked at us multiple times and knew we were there to order but never even said hello or "we will be with you in a second". After being a server myself for many years, I understand that one may be very busy or understaffed but this is not a way to treat customers. I do not plan on going back unless a friend insists on going. There are plenty of other amazing places along...
Read moreStopped in for a beer as I have heard great things. Went to the bar and sat, and sat and sat. One guy was working right across from us, one was on the register, no word from either one. The room was almost full, two guys behind the bar, and the kitchen was ringing out orders. I get it, we are working. We sat and a couple of guys came in after us and the staff started to serve them and we said, "Hey...you missed us." The response was " I'm not ignoring you, everything is happening in at once, I'll get to you when I get to you. Dont be pissed at me." Not pissed at all, disappointed and sorry I came in. From my perspective, no greeting, no assurance you'll be there in a minute, no conversation, is not attention. No acknowledgement, defensive attitude is not making a case for your care for customers....
