I ate at Republic Pi for the first time on Friday, May 16, 2025, with my wife and three other adults. To be honest, I wasn’t overly excited about dining here because I am not a huge fan of “wood-fired pizza” concepts, but I was very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Pi Bites as an appetizer and they were tasty but the best part was the thick cheese sauce they were served with. My wife and I ordered two entrees to split. We opted for the Wilson (pizza) and the RF Muffaletta (sandwich). Like I said, I am usually a critic of wood-fired pizza, but the Wilson made me a believer—but perhaps the creativity of the pie itself has a lot to do with that. It was a garlic cream-based pizza with chicken and potatoes! Trust me, the combination worked out just fine. The pizza was rich, bold, and savory. The only thing better than eating a few slices in the restaurant was eating another slice later that night. The sandwich was equally as good. The meat was plentiful/flavorful and the bread was so soft and fresh that it made such a treat to eat. The French fries—which are cut in a spiral/corkscrew shape—have a delightful crispiness and are perfectly seasoned…a truly unique fry! The service was great and the interior of the restaurant is charming. As we left Republic Pi at the end of the meal, I told my wife that we will have to return again one of these days. 🍕

It was Friday night, around 730 and the place was PACKED. We patiently waited for our table...we're initially told 30 minutes, but waited 45. We enjoyed some brews from their large tap selection and watched as the kitchen pumped out pizza after pizza for to-go orders. We took note of the promotions posted on the entry wall...we want to check Monday's out for sure..draft and community board specials. But about tonight, once we were seated our server was quickly at our table for beverage orders. We were starving and had 3 little ones to entertain and feed. The coloring menu for them helped and we immediately made our selections and ordered. We received our salad and appetizers quickly and the pizzas followed promptly after. They were hot, delicious and topped with tasty ingredients. We ordered the all meat and the one with meatballs on it...oh my YUMMMMM! There was ice cream for the girls and a bourbon for moi. Yes, they have full bar as well. Our service was friendly, efficient and the Friday night atmosphere full of laughter. Everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves. This is a great neighborhood gathering spot for good food and conversation. I look forward to our next visit...on a Monday to try one of the community boards. 🍺 🍕 🍷

We ordered from Republic Pi through Uber eats last night. You guys, seriously, the best BLT I've ever had. The Sriracha sauce for sure added a kick, like, be prepared for a wee bit of burning. But mmm, it had slices of boiled eggs and thick bacon, and the bread was so deliciously crispy. The fries were also absolute perfection. My husband got the meetball sandwich and it was gone before I could get a pic of it. 🤣 And he is still talking about their Guinness stew. Phenomenal food, all around. It was delivered quickly using Uber eats and was still very nice and warm. We will for sure be ordering from them many times again.

I would give negative stars if I could. After the treatment I received this evening from a staff member named Nate (allegedly a manager), I am never returning here again, and unless you enjoy burnt food served to you with disdain and arrogance, I do not recommend giving any money to this restaurant. I used to order pizza here regularly, 3-4 times per month. During the last year the pizzas have been increasingly burnt on the bottom, 1/3 to 1/2 charred pitch black, bitter to the palate and inedible, far beyond an inappropriate amount of the "wood fire char" that is their brand identity. A few of the staff members are extremely helpful when this happens, they apologize with sincerity, concur that it was burnt and inedible, and they politely offer to remake the order, on two occasions I was even given nominal gift cards due to the inconvenience of needing to wait for the order to be remade. For whatever reason Nate takes it personally when I bring to his attention that the pizza is burnt and somehow from his perspective their mistake becomes my fault. Tonight, he was not only rude but extremely aggressive, he came to the other side of the counter into my personal space, towering over me and waving his arms in the air while screaming about how according to him I complain every time when in reality I have been served by him only two times (actually the last time I was there about two weeks ago when he wasn't working my pizzas were properly made and not burnt, I made no complaints, and I was relieved not to have to request and to wait for yet another order refire). Also, as other reviewers have noted, there are other staff members that are extremely condescending and rude.

It's truly a shame, the toppings are exceptional, and this place has the potential to be the best pizza restaurant in Spokane, however the execution is abysmal and most of all the "customer service" is outright unacceptable. I worked in restaurants for 20 years, I spent 7 years as a front of the house manager, and I would never allow a customer or more importantly a co-worker to be treated in the threatening way Nate behaved; he should not be working with the public, and he would benefit from attending an anger management class. Thanks to Nate, I am done playing burnt pizza roulette with this place. I have never taken the time to write a negative review for any business, but I feel a duty to warn others in an attempt to spare them the disappointment of getting burnt food and the discomfort of navigating...

Struggling a bit with this review. We had a large party 11 adults and 1 toddler. We called in advance and asked about reservations and we were told first come first served. So we arrived early at about 5:35pm and asked about a table for 11. The initial contact person went and got someone else who came back and told us 45 mins. Ok we said but then she told us we should just go across the way to another place . That’s when the weird vibes started as we decided to wait. This person either clearly didn’t want a large party or small children. When we told her we would wait and head to the bar. The bartender was great but then this same person told us we couldn’t stand and we needed to sit so they did but then we were told we could sit in the area she told us to sit at. Everyone else was so nice and happy with our large group but this person. It was so odd. I even asked her what we were doing wrong and if she didn’t want us there. We finally got a table after an hour and then we sat and we didn’t get menus. It was like miss bad vibes blue hair was trying to make us wait longer. Who knows. But luckily our waiter Dan changed the entire vibe of our dinner. He was attentive and got our menus and our orders rolling. Luckily the food was great. The Brussel sprouts were beyond charred but the pizza was great. We left a nice tip for Dan and the bartender. Hopefully they don’t have to share it with...

Love the food and the atmosphere. Best pizza in town by far! Don’t go splitting it with someone. Always get your own. I eat half of a Kiernen and the other half makes for delicious breakfast! Egg, sausage, cheese, arugula tossed in truffle oil! Or just east a whole pie. You can do it

UPDATE: Well that was rude. I have been a regular customer at both Pi and Flying Goat since they each opened. I was craving the Kiernen last night (Tuesday), called to order one to-go, and no answer, so I drove up the hill to discover they were closed for construction. No problem. Maybe they will extend the deal tomorrow. I called today- and it wasn’t that I didn’t get the answer I had hoped for, it was Andy’s tone. His ‘no’ and chuckle before I could even finish a sentence. As if my request was that ridiculous. Not sure I will be back as often. Time will tell but definitely not going to continue to rave about their pizzas to familiars or strangers and risk them having a poor experience. I tell a lot of doctors I work with and wouldn’t want them to have a poor experience. So… I called back and thanked my stars I got someone else, ordered a pi to-go. Back on schedule. I didn’t enjoy it as much with the mood killing Andy experience. I ordered regular pizzas to-go through covid, trying to help keep my favorite spots open. Always tip $5 on a $12 deal. Today I tipped $3 on a $17...
