Cool Zone Ice Cream — Restaurant in Spotsylvania Courthouse

I have been to Cool Zone Ice Cream several times and it seems they stay busy...which is great. Its a hidden gem for ice cream any day of the week. The ice cream is delicious with many flavors, my favorite is "bannana pudding." Prices are reasonable and the scoops are large on a cone or in a cup even in a banana split. I gave three stars because of the service I have received. Not friendly, I say hello to the woman taking my order and she doesn't offer a smile or a "hello" back just says in a rude tone "what is your order?" Common courtesy equals customer service. Also, the way ladies fill the orders are out of sync and confusing. There was a guy that was four people behind me that receive his orders while we waited for ours. He even questioned us thinking that maybe he received our orders and wondered why he received his two orders before us within five minutes. I noticed one customer returned to the counter to let the person know they had forgotten her second ice cream cone after waiting 20 minutes the another customer milk shake was forgotten. There should be a better way to keep orders in sync of receiving them. Also asking for a name is not a bad idea when order is taken instead of shouting out the orders. I wonder if a different customers orders the same thing; then what? Being busy doesn't result in no...

Okay so this is like my favorite ice cream place until sunday. I always get a double scoop and the lady who I never seen before. Tells me that I can give you a single scoop and put the other scoop in a cup because it's not going to stay on there, right. I said i've been coming here for years, and never ever had that problem, but if that's the way you have to do it, I don't want it. So she decided to tell the young gentleman to go ahead and do it, and that was the smallest, 2 scoop ice cream cone. I have ever had at cool zone. I spent twenty nine dollars and some change and I got a milkshake for my grandson and I know it says it takes a little bit to do it because it's hand me, but that was the longest we had to make for a milkshake, never again.Well, I stop there if that lady is working at...

This place was great! Blink and you'll miss it, but it's worth finding. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the portions are kinda huge - I got a single scoop cone, a double scoop cone, and a single scoop sundae for about $12 or so. They have a lot of flavors and options - the dark chocolate raspberry was 😍. The ladies working we're very friendly and patient while we figured out what we wanted. They have a small area with a few tables ( and kids chairs), and the parking area had lots of space. I believe they are only open during certain months, so run there...
