30 December, 2024 The dishonest response from the manager (owner?) is that this was a double meat #15; that is a lie. It was not a double meat, I did not order a double meat, and the register receipt does not describe a double meat. There are deep psychological problems embedded in the management of this particular Subway. I will pursue this matter by different channels, as your dishonest, combative attitude is unacceptable. There are far, far too many complaints from customers about this Subway location for this to continue.
The food is fine - if you don't mind paying the huge mark up. A #15 Titan Turkey 12" is a whopping $15.84 here. The exact same sandwich is only $10.44 @ Subways in Northern Virginia and Culpeper. No cookies, no chips, no drinks - JUST the sandwich. The register receipt here is conveniently not itemized - it does not show a sub total, it does not show the General Sales Tax or the local meals tax. It also does not show how much the customer paid and how much change was returned. The only amount indicated is the Total cost of the sandwich. I have never seen any other Subway that was operated in this fashion. Nor have I ever seen another Subway with a 152% mark up on standard menu items. I would have to be mighty hungry to come back to this Lake of The...
Read moreIf you are not from around here, go somewhere else to get a sub. Mama's pizza, Sam's pizza, two brothers, bellicachine, and even sheetz are all much much better with similar if not cheaper prices. If you are a local to Locust Grove, you already know this and this review is not for you. I would have bad experiences at the subway often, similar to other reviews but this past time made me boycott this particular franchise. I normally get a steak and cheese with just cheese, nothing else. I travel nationwide for work and almost every other Subway does not charge me for extra cheese when I just get cheese. There was a young boy in there that told me the cheese was extra and when I told him they normally don't charge me for extra cheese he had to text the owner and ask if you should charge me for extra cheese. After waiting, the owner responded saying that he should charge me for extra cheese. According to other reviews and just being in Locust Grove we all know the owner is very greedy. This doesn't surprise me and is an everyday example of this place. What did surprise me was the smart remark the young boy made after he told me that he had to charge your extra cheese. "you need to add more than just cheese, especially infront of your girl" I have Crohn's disease and took offence to...
Read moreOrdered online, set option for curbside but I didn’t have a signal so I just walked in. Ordered two subs and they didn’t have any bread other than whole wheat left by the time they went to make the second sandwich so I had to wait on the second sub to be made. Wanted extra jalapeños and banana peppers and they made sure I had plenty.
I did see, hear and meet the Hispanic woman many people have referenced in their reviews. She didn’t seem rude but definitely had an accent which I didn’t find to be a problem. The people ordering food in front of me wanted to order a lot of things that were out of stock. The woman making the subs had to repeat several times that they were pretty much out of all the bread including flatbread and kid’s bread(w/e that means)
Food was fine. Tasted like any subway I’ve ever been to. Was clean and had tons of chips. (Didn’t check on cookies) I haven’t been inside of a subway in a while but it was very green and looked like any other store I’ve seen.
Tried to enter coupons online but this store didn’t...
