The Icebox Creamery — Restaurant in Spotsylvania Courthouse

I 100% enjoy my Saturday routine of stopping by the Icebox to grab myself and my mom a treat. Usually it's a cone and a Sundae, but sometimes we both get a Sundae. For whatever reason no matter how many times I request lids when ordering sundaes, they always try handing them to me without lids. I tell them I asked for lids and usually they put lids on. Last weekend the girl handed me the lids to put on myself. I did, but the whipcream oozed out and it created a mess that I wasn't prepared to clean up. Today I ordered a cone and Sundae, specifically asking the cashier to make sure they put a lid on. The girl handed me my cone and then the Sundae without lid. I told her I asked for one and she tried handing it to me. I looked at her and my unfree hands and she rolled her eyes at me and then put the lid on herself. I don't understand the lack of communication in this small workspace. And I don't appreciate the eye rolling. They might be kids, but they are providing a...

Been here several times this spring and experience is the same. This place is really going down hill. Yes I said it as many say it but never voice it. I dont like to leave negative reviews, as I usally just don’t go back but tonight I was compelled to do so. My family and I go to the Icebox since it is close outside the lake. We really go for the convenience, it is nothing special typical car wash ice cream, prices are not the greatest. The last several times we have been here it has not been good between the ice cream tasting stale or like chemicals and the customer service being horrible. Tonight the young girl at the window ask what do you want. As we were an inconvenience to her and we received our ice cream and she shut the window on us not even asking if we needed anything else. This was final straw and we won’t be frequenting back we will travel to other places...
