Honestly, I just can't understand how Burger King as a chain is still in business. Its heyday was in the 70s and early 80s, but they have not kept up with the times. I've never really cared for their burgers that much, and their fries are nothing to write home about, so had not been in one in many years. They've always been bad about modernizing/refurbing their restaurants, and this was a great example.
My wife and I were on vacation in Virginia and had few choices for lunch as we worked our way back to Richmond from Culpeper. Decided to give it a try despite the 3.2 rating. Should have listened to the rating and just gone to Subway next door...
The front desk lady/manager was friendly, but the place appeared to be undermanned and over-tasked at the time, with a lot of vehicles in the drive-through wrapping around the building and a lot of orders already taken inside, with few people working. We had to wait a good while for our order, and when it came the burgers were lukewarm at best, with cold buns. The fries were okay, but really, it ranked on the very low end of the fast-food burger chains spectrum. The restaurant itself was old, rundown, and not overly clean. It appeared nothing had been done with it in a very long time. Pretty much like almost every Burger King we've ever been in.
After giving BK one more try, this was the last visit we'll make to the chain. Just too much competition and many more choices out there that are so...
Read moreThis burger king is so bad it's comical. We moved to the area a little over a year ago and ha e been there maybe 3 times do to the EXTREMELY slow service ( 15-20 min drive thru with only one car in front of us). Today we decided let's try inside, LOL! I am the only one inside, no one in front of me, no one behind me. I watch the cashier disappear to the back for 5 min, I watch the girl making the burgers disappear to the back as once she made our 2 whoppers. As my bag sets there there is only my bag sitting there and no one else in the restaurant. Finally the cashier reappears and a customer walked in. She went to the customer and then mentioned to me she was waiting on fries. Here's the problem, the fry girl dumped them 5 min ago. As I finally get my food and go get in the car to leave, low and behold, there's the burger making girl taking her time walking back from her car! Where is the management? I see there is camera, does no one watch them? This was definitely the last trip. It is sad because I'm sure you have lost tons of business do to the slowness of this place. I could run to McDonald's and back quicker than sitting here and...
Read moreI'll pull up to the drive-thru at 10:50 p.m., this Burger King does not close until 12, not a single car in the parking lot, not a single car in the drive-thru!! I'm asked to hold on twice for over two minutes then I continue to order a spicy chicken sandwich and a whopper and that I would like both sandwiches made fresh ( big mistake)!!!! The ladies response is that the chicken takes over six minutes to be made fresh and do I want to wait, I reply yes. Both sandwiches were handed to me in under three minutes, the burger was cold and the bread was hard, The chicken was as chewy as rubber, The chicken had to of been grabbed out of the oil with tongs and put Straight on my sandwich making both pieces of bread soaked in Grease. Absolutely ridiculous that these employees would take a piece of chicken, already deep fried, and drop it back down into the grease to heat it up. I will be calling the manager tomorrow on duty, but from the looks of the other reviews for the store it is not going to...
